I am also doing manual insertion but using a candlestick chart instead.
Once you have the points, it is pretty straight forward. If you are trading LTD or ITD, you don't have to do it often.
Do you code? If you do, you can come out with a program like the one shown in the book.
I come out with a simple one that keeps track of STD,ITD and LTD. Based on the data, I will plot it on my chart if needed.
