Failed to get update information/Unable to Obtain Update Info

More Than 5 Seconds

If you have been able to access the FX Trading Station from this location in the past please check to see if you are having any technical issues with your internet connection.

First
: Make sure Microsoft Internet Explorer has connection to www.fxcm.com. Other browsers are NOT acceptable. The Trading Station uses Internet Explorer so it must be connected.

If the website does not appear to load then this is an indication that you are likely having issues with your internet service provider.

If the website loads without delay then please follow the these steps to check your connectivity with our server:

To test your connection, do a Trace Route.

Try resetting your Proxy Settings (not a common solution).

Less Than 5 Seconds:

If you immediately receive an error message when you try to log in, it may be necessary to configure your firewall.
First check to see if you are connecting from a corporate network. If you are on a corporate network you will need to contact your companies Network Administrator to provide you access since it is likely that your companies firewall is restricting access to our server. If you are restricted from accessing our server, try the Java Platform

If this is the first time you are attempting to connect from this specific computer please check to see if you have a firewall. If so please go to the bottom of this page to configure your fire wall to provide the FX Trading Station II access:

Oddity (Not Common Solution)
  1. Open IE, go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
  2. Scroll down to Security
  3. Look for "Check for server certificate revocation (requires restart)"
  4. Make sure this choice is UNCHECKED
  5. Look for SSL 3.0, make sure it is CHECKED
  6. Log back into the Trading Station.

Problems with the application...

Has anyone had a problem applying? Every time I complete the application for the micro account, I hit the "submit" button and NOTHING happens. It just sits there. Doesn't think, doesn't move, doesn't give me any other notice, just sits there. If someone has had the same problem, would they please email me and let me know what it is I'm doing wrong? I tried calling the "support line" but apparently there isn't any phone support for the micro accounts, which is fine but if you can't even start a micro account....? The guy told me to start a regular account. Hmmm, I can't even get the smaller account to work, which I was trying out before I went to the larger account, and they want me to just dive into the full account? Seems strange to me. Thanks in advance for any help...

It must be a web browser issue, try with another web browser (Firefox, Opera, etc...) or even another computer. Strangely enough, it works sometimes.

im sorry if im highjacking your thread, but the forum will not let me make my own... so again, very sorry about writing this in you r thread...

any ways...

simply put... i have micro account, and i had 2 trades open... 1 in gbp/jpy and 1 in usd/chf... both had a stop order on them... one on gbp/jpy had been moved up to ensure profit the usd/chf, was 80 or so pips from its stop... the gbp/jpy reached the stop taking me out with a profit... no problem so far... then i see at the exact time of the gbp/jpy stop being hit, i was also taken out of my usd/chf trade... for absolutely no reason... stop on that was 80 or so pips away and also had no limit order on this trade... i wanted to remain in this trade...

how do i resolve this issue, and most importantly, how we keep it from happening again in the future...

so, i have a problem, could some one please help...

Hi Burnhot!

If you wish for our audit committee to review your trades, you may send a Trade Inquiry with detailed information so we can better help you.

However, this seem to me that you have been Margin Called? If you have been Margin Called, once the margin watcher feature triggers, all of your open positions will be closed. But it that is not the case, the audit committee will be happy to review your trade.
