1. GBPUSD continues its upward movement

by , 09-09-2012 at 11:20 PM (Free Forex Market Analysis)
GBPUSD continues its upward movement from 1.5490, and the rise extends to as high as 1.6033. Further rise could be expected after a minor consolidation, and next target would be at 1.6100 area. Key support remains at the upward trend line on 4-hour chart, only a clear break below the trend line support could signal completion of the uptrend.

2. DAILY FORECAST FOR USDJPY

by , 09-09-2012 at 10:23 PM (The Daily Forecaster)
BIAS: While 78.30-40 caps we should see losses down to 77.75-88

Resistance:... 78.30-40... 78.60........ 78.75-85... 79.03
Support:........ 78.01........ 77.75-88... 77.66........ 77.44

MAIN ANALYSIS: Sometimes this pair decides to take the scenic route and meander through the countryside and at other times it reacts as it did on Friday. This does tend to confirm the bearish structure and should, indeed, see those losses continue. The upside risk should be limited to 78.30-40 from where the next decline should extend to the 77.88 target I have been quoting but perhaps we should allow for 77.75. From there expect a correction of around 60-70 points.

Good day forex traders.

In the previous EUR/USD forecast we noted that the currency pair remained in a bullish channel. Spain was receiving increasing media scrutiny and there were speculations of an upcoming round of stimulus to be announced by the US Federal Reserve Chairman.
