Theme of the day so far: Australian strength as gold holds near $1,000 an ounce. (Great for one of the largest gold miners/exporters of the world). AUD/JPY, AUD/USD, AUD/CAD all leading the way % wise (EUR/TRY is the exotic leading the way). GBP/AUD biggest % loser on Aussie strength.

CAD Housing Starts came in better than expected at 150k vs. 138k expected and 134k last time.

Fed's Beige Book comes out at 2pm EST which discusses the state of the economy.

NZD Rate Decision & Press Conference @ 5pm EST today. Expected to hold at 2.50%.

Aussie Employment Change and Unemployment reports out tonight at 9:30pm EST.
