Raffaele,

I am trying to create a program that can get FXCM data for me so that I can
put it in my 3rd party software - Multicharts

Is this possible?

For the longest time, I have tried to create a program that logs into the FXCM workstation, gets the data and then puts it on my desktop. This has not been easy.

Is there an easier way?

Al

You might want to try using the Order2GoDDE:

http://www.fxprogrammers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13

It's a basic application that receives real-time BID and ASK price from the Trading Station through DDE. The price feeds are displayed in Excel and should be easier to use.

Hi,

Yes, that would be the most plausible way of getting data - from the Order2go dde spreadsheet - but how would I get historical data from that?

I need the data in the following format:

Date(mm/dd/yyyy) Time ( hh:mm ) Open High Low close

Any specific instructions would be very appreciated.

Al

You cannot retrieve historical data by using the Order2GoDDE.

You can do this through Order2Go COM API, the function GetPriceHistory would be able to do that.

Hi Simit,

Okay, one question please. Can you please give specific instructions how I would do this if I had to convey it to a programmer?

This could be what I am looking for.

Any help would be appreciated !!

Al
