specific dealing time?
Hi everyone
it is first time to post a thread
I got so many questions regarding with fx market and strategy
I prefer to trade in Asian market time since I'm living in Korea
I believe there is a specific dealing time in Asian market like 9:00 am Tokyo opening time and 16:00 pm closing time which is not quite sure.
so I would like to know the specific trading time(opening and closing) on each main FX markets. (Tokyo Eurozon London and NY)
many thanks
AJ

Welcome to the forum. The market usually opens at 8AM local time and closes at 5PM local. This is really when the banks in that particular area trade since there is no official open and close. Here is a list, but keep in mind that the relationship can change with the time change, which is coming up in about one week for most of the US.

New platform
Been away, came back new platform. I have looked at all the vidios. I still don't get how to enter a buy. stop, or take profit.
I what to buy @ 1.400
I enter a limit to buy @ 1.4010
When it gets to 1.4010 it keeps going and does not enter @ 1.4010
Can I place a limit from the charts? Or do I have to go to the windows area?
I know I can get a UK account But don't have $500 yet to open.
Do I have to enter a market order first?
Please help. Randy

Here is where you can learn about entry (limit) orders where you specify the price at which to enter the market: Forex Trading Platform - Entry order
Here's where you can enter a market order which is just simply saying, "get in now as quickly as you can"...but not specifying an exact price: Forex Trading Platform - Market order
Here's how to place a stop and a limit: FXCM
Stops are there for when you may be "wrong" in your trade. They stop your losses at that point. Limit orders are for when you are "right" in your trade and it tells the order when to take profits.
Here's how to manually close out orders: Forex Trading Platform - Close order
Here's how to do "one cancels other" orders where your stops and limits are linked together. That way, if one of them is hit...the other is auto-canceled out for you. FXCM
Also, be sure to check out the videos here at the bottom too: VideoTour of Forex Platform Software
You can right click on your mouse when you are on your charts and it will allow you to put in your orders from there without having to go back to your quotes window. Correct.

Man, I'm lost!
So, here I am trying to figure out the FXCM Micro but all I can do is open an order (buy or sell) but not able to close. How the heck do you delete, and what is the difference between close and delete?
Any help? I think I've gotten myself into more then I thought it would be.

If you created a market order to buy then to close the order your would do a market order to sell... If you are selling you would place a buy order.

very important
When you trade on margin, is your margin the most you can lose or can you actually lose a large % of the trade amount and end up in debt?
For example, if I have a $250 margin and with that I control $10,000. If a trade goes really bad does the brokerage house automatically sell my position once I'm at a $250 loss to protect them/me? Or can I lose thousands of dollars and end up owing the broker money?
