DailyFX Highlight 3: Analyst Picks

In today's DailyFX highlight, I will go over the Analyst Picks section. We have devoted an entire section to highlighting trade setups the DailyFX analysts are watching. Love them, hate them...use them how you want. You can find the analyst pick section here.

1. Analyst Picks

In the analyst picks section, the matrix at the top will display the most recently updated analyst picks. if you click on the picture of the analyst, his or her trade idea will appear below. Here's an example using Jamie Saettele.

2. Analyst Sentiment

The analyst sentiment box takes the currencies our analysts are trading, and then creates a sentiment indicator on which currencies have the most positive/negative sentiment. In this case, USD is most positive, and NZD is most negative. If you're trying to identify the strongest and weakest currencies to trade, then this gives you an indication to review NZD/USD.

Jason, what I personally appreciate about this section...having come from the stock world...is that these analysts truly are free to state their own personal opinion on a currency.

In the stock world, that never happens. They are usally either "told" what view to have...or somewhat pressured to have a certain view. In that type of an environment, the analysis from the stock analyst is useless because they can't tell you what the "really think" but rather "what they're supposed to think".

So that's my two cents.
