5th waves can extend in forex often, As for trend direction. I see know visible candlestick signal of an upward reversal on the Daily chart of AUDUSD, so until I do see that, the trend remains bearish.

Thanks brad, the wave4 of 5 punched thru the upper trendline, shook me for a moment. On the 5min chart the move seemed bigger than what it was and right away I jump the gun. When I took a step back to the hourly chart, things cleared up alot. I get mixed-up often trying to map out the smaller charts. Anyways, a stop just above the end of wave1(8617) seems to be working out fine for my short-term short position. Question though, if wave5 extends, it would take on a similar shape of a zigzag-535? And a non-extended wave5 will possibly be truncated? or simply playout to be a 5? Anyways, I appreciate you and all the folks in this forum. Bedtime, out.

PS. You mind helping me post a chart? Maybe 2morrow? I'm using the free charts from fxcm, powercharts. I'm also running Mac OS X 10.4.11, which makes things a little funky.
