nevertheless i have shed about 30% around 165.65 previous stall on the surge.. others intact and would be getting out gradually and only 1 or 2 would be left for perhaps 2-300 pips drop if it comes...
furthermore i have longs in euro shorts on swissy and longs in gbp doing wonders...
this has been a blessed NFP and i look forward to more gains against USD.... hopefully after the 10 AM we should accelerate.......

This thread has gotten pretty busy!
EURUSD has been more or less drifting in my opinion. I have avoided the choppy back and forth since the break from the rising trend channel back in April lost steam.
Instead, I'm keeping a close eye on USDCHF which is finding itself more closely correlated to EURUSD and losing its ties to USDJPY. If this continues, we could be seeing something interesting happening soon as USDCHF has consolidated into the apex of a tight wedge. It's looking more and more like a major breakout is in the works. Of course since USDJPY and EURUSD aren't offering the same setup - the franc-based pair may just trickle through the technical push rather than make for the massive breakout since the most aggressive move would come from dollar selling or buying encouraged through the more liquid pairs - since USDCHF is a follower and typically catches its draft from big dollar moves in the other pairs.

it is a tech approach and simply to me was worth a risk.
my initial tgt is 165.10

Also see a couple of resistance lines coming in between 5703 and 5710
Clear break and not too much before the 5816 may high
gonna short 5700 for pull back towards 5620 with tight SL (5715)

There will be a lot of buying interest above 1.5710/20 due to heavy stop loss activity. Today the break above 1.57 might not happen as it is Friday but there are allways Mondays following.

true, if we're not moving lower today, i'll have a TP around 1,5665 for asian opening. and the stop stays at 5715 for a max 10 pips loss. it's worth a try as i made some money on the move up (only from 5660 to 5705 so not the whole move, but still a cool 45 pips in 20 mins)
Also short the S&P, so had a good day and trying to push my luck now......let's see how that goes (if it goes well i'll be buying a lottery ticket this weekend!) lol

closed swissy / pounder / fiber all for a very decent gains.. i went long minutes before the NFP.. single lots on swissy and gbp closing at around the highs of the day. euro i have 1 lot still running for a possible 5810 test.....
swissy reversed at 1214 with a single lot and might take hedge shorts on euro on next failure to top 5750 which also happnes to be a decent resis.
eurppy needs to drop below 165.40 soon or i will bail out on all and leave one open from the high.....
i hope we all made out on this one......
GL ALL.......

P.S. Does anyone know how to make a signature to post in every message? I dont see that feature anywhere in the thread.
Well, for now, here's this temporary one:

you should find it through the EDIT option...
i like the discipline you carry on your trades.......... it is a must next to emotions and on a longer run would yield better trading results....

Euro/USD Gartley pattern
Fxaprendiz,
Now that your Gartley has been completed so successfully at 1.5345, what is the upside reversal calculations for the Euro, currently at 1.5740, or do you still believe in the lower butterfly forming later
