i do follow the basic concepts, but over the years yes i have developed other ways of plotting them as they have been back tested and before i started implying them for trades.... plus most of my charts are preposted before the actual price action happens......
in the end when trading forex, what works for you, you should tick to it, otherwise there are too many tools for trading..... the simplicity is the best policy and thats what i stick to..........

GL........ im out a here.. longs in at 5587.. stops rt below the low at 5564.....

EDIT:: longs with trailing 15 pips stops....... ammended the limit to 5648.............

Ok, I am also trading with that premise also as NFP tomorrow will likely bring negative tone to the market and USD.

I am looking for a return to 15700, by tommorow. Is this realistic in the minds of other EUR/USD traders?

Paulson about to speak live on TV (CNBC)
false alarm, he did not speak live, they repeated some of the statements he made. Paulson:
"GDP for second quarter much better than expected," and "stimulus plan smoothly put into effect.

he sounded dollar bull for the most part and yet the market had absolutely no reaction. as always i could be wrong but i plan on adding MORE longs should we test 5565 region. this market always seems to make strange moves so i could be 100% wrong but i am loading up for the run back to the 5750 region.
