The trick is to wait the price meet ur limits, instead of one jumping in.. however scalps is a totally different scenario and is not everyone's cup of tea

Dollar Recovery

My thinking is: Based on Fibonacci Confluences the market is ready to turn around. Arrows are 1st, 2nd and 3rd targets. 1.4903 SL to 1.4934 with room for spread.

There is no stopping now, so picking a top is dangerous. Its a bit like the fall we saw a few weeks ago. When the market goes, it just goes.
Oil and gold are up because the dollar is losing its status as safe investment. Oil was supposed to go down (and went down) because of lack of demand. But all of a sudden demand does not seem to be that important. Anything seems to be better then dollars, right now.
When this snowball really gets going, better look for cover.

Back to you, Jim.

Bernanke just hasn't got pissed yet. When he does, he'll buy the entire EU.
Then he'll use the Euro as wallpaper.

I'm new to this forum so firstly hello all. I look forward to sharing ideas with some/all of you at some stage.

In my experience it's very dangerous to try and call the tops/bottoms of markets. Every time I ever tried to call it I was 99% of the time wrong and ended up losing money.

My strategy is very simple and very obvious... using 3 basic indicators (Simple MACD, RSI, Moving Averages 100 and 350) if the market's moving up then buy it and if it's moving down sell it (long term). I still think EUR/USD could carry on up for quite a while and to be short of it could be potentially dangerous (this excludes scalping - something I've tried and never manage to succeed at). There could well be a few small corrections on the way but personally I'm still long and will stay that way till the market tells me otherwise.

I'm much more of a longer term trader and stay in positions for days, weeks, sometimes even months. I'm by no means an expert and this is just my opinion. All I hope is that whatever our strategies, we're all successful and make lots of money!

Watch the market now make me look like a chump and drop through the floor!

My longs hit on tp at 1,4650 and 1,4750. Had nice run up. IF there is a dip I'll buy it if not.. will stand on sideline. Buying USD now? Not me... It had nice run up but what goes up must come down. Looking for 1,46+ to rebuy...

Hi jim
I'm travelling the US in our Motorhome and spoke to many Americans, also about the economy. There must be really a mess in this Country, nobody seems to be happy right now.
remember, there will be no change, even when Helicopter Ben is pissing somewhere. I predict a EUR/USD 1.75 by the end of 2008.
You better go long.

Mike

I got a real good laugh at that.. for many reasons..

Bernanke has definately proven that the presses are working.. I think America will run out of trees for paper before it does common sense.

Ben may offer but the Europeans won't buy that bag of beans.. LOL

They need to unload what they've bought already.. Good luck with that.. LMAO

Thnx Stryker... This is first good trade in while. Hefty lots and gain over 300 ticks.... nice nice. Yesterday I was smiling when I got home and checked the charts. Latter checked platform and you could see . All positions on EURUSD closed out and sold options expired worthless.. .yeah!

Now sitting on my hands and figuring out what to do with my light EURAUD position (short from 1,70). THnx god it's very light otherwise it would kill me. Yesterday I had nice chance to close with 200 tick loss but wasn't there. Had sold options to lower my loss but if you ask me this pair is can go up or down which exposes me to higher risks....
Can you, Dolarbul and anyone else here chk charts for me pls? Which direction are you seeing? South or north... Right now it looks like up but I can be wrong...

GL to all
