Column CONVERT_RATE

Hi,

The below mentioned row is from the table closed_trade_list. Could somebody please explain why the conversion rate in the last column is 1. Shouldn't it be 0.0105xxx as the USD/JPY is traded in JPY and the conversion rate from JPY to USD should apply for converting the p/l? The full report is attached in the zip.

Table get_utc_dates in xml report

Hi,

If I pull the xml report for a date mm/dd/yyyy, I see the following as the request parameters:
mm/dd/yyyy 21:00:00
mm/dd/yyyy 20:59:59

and see the following in the table get_utc_dates:
mm/dd/yyyy 17:00:00
mm/dd/yyyy 16:59:59

Doubts:

1. It appears that the date/time shown in table get_utc_dates is in NY local time and not in UTC format as the name "get_utc_dates" suggests, is that correct?

2. If the answer to question 1 is yes, then what about the time it shows in the request param FROM and TILL, what time zone are those from?

dont have permission to view report

I am using my RB login and password and for connection name using minireal5 and the accounts # i have tried by trading account my clients accounts i always get back that i do not have permission to view this report. what credentials should i be using and how do i get this API to work

Problem with demo

the account number is a client account number and has been changed for security reasons

why am i getting this error.

When I use my Merchant Area set of credentials (username and password) I cannot seem to be able to access the Report API. Do I have to use a different set?

If it makes any difference, I'm using the following parameters to getReport:

asURL = https://secure5.fxcorporate.com/fxpa/getreport.app/
asReportID = REPORT_NAME_CUSTOMER_ACCOUNT_STATEMENT

how to catch datas with the api

I'm trying to use the api for getting some datas like equity, day P&L... but I don't understand how to do it.

Actually, I need to get the equity and the Closed Trades P&L every minute and then to write theese figures on a file or on a blog.

Can someone help me? I'm a new be in this domain...

I'm trying to run the reportAPI with a demo account and the following parameters:

When I use report API, I always get "ERR_REPORTRECEIVER_NO_REDIRECT" exception. What is the possible reason for this error and how can I fix this problem?

Using the above connection properties, I am trying to connect to the server. Of the above properties I am not sure what 'username', 'password' and 'account' should be. Am I correct in my assumption that 'account' should be set to the 10 digit client account number and the 'password' is the client account password? Also, where are the 'username' and 'connection' supposed to come from?

When I run the Sample class, it returns the following error:

Error: ERR_LOGON_FAILED

Viewing fxlog00000????.log files

I am doing a computer forensic examination of a subjects computer for an ongoing litigation. I don't know anything about the FX API and I'm not a programmer.

I want to view the log files generated by FX Trade Station. This user has about 35 of them. I am not authorized by the court to login using this users identity. I suspect the easiest way to view these files is to use the reporting function and generate a report. I have tried to do it using my own demo account on a copy of the subjects computer but that did not work.

The log files are located at:
%SYSTEMROOT%\Program Files\CandleWorks\FXTS2\log

Is there some method or script available that would allow me to open these log files and convert them so they can be read? Any help would be appreciated.

I am doing a little program in VB and would like it to also automatically generate a report every X minutes.

How to license code using FXCMs API

I would like some guidelines on how to license code based on FXCM APIs. Since it contains information derived from FXCMs documents and code I suppose you might have restrictions. Please let me know if such exist.
Also, can I upload source code on their corresponding forums?
