How can I run multiple instances of MT4 on my computer?

If you would like to have more than one MT4 platform open at a time, you will need to install multiple MT4s on your computer. Please follow the simple steps below to download and install multiple MT4 platforms on one computer:

Step 1. Download MT4 for the first time. Please click on the link below that corresponds to your account type to download the MT4 platform:

FXCM LLC (US) | FXCM LTD (UK) | FXCM AU (Australia)

Once there please click on "Download MT4" on the left.

Step 2. During the installation process, you will be asked to name the installation folder. Give this a unique name such as FXCM1 and then click "Next >"

Step 3. Once the installation process is finished click "Finish"

Step 4. The default icon on your desktop will appear as "FXCM MetaTrader 4." Right click on this icon and select "Rename." Rename the default icon from "FXCM MetaTrader 4" to "FXCM1."

Step 5. Download MT4 for the second time.

Step 6. Give the installation folder another unique name such as FXCM2 and then click "Next >"

Step 7. Once the installation process is finished click "Finish"

Step 8. The default icon on your desktop will appear as "FXCM MetaTrader 4." Right click on this icon and select "Rename." Rename the default icon from "FXCM MetaTrader 4" to "FXCM2"

Congratulations! You have just installed two MT4 platforms onto your computer. Now you can run two MT4 platforms at the same time by simply double clicking on each icon.
