About that behind-closed-door meeting of congressmen you mentioned in your post: is it real or just some of the many rumours flying around these days and as always? Do you have some solid and reliable links to that piece of news? Or any of the rationale well explained and elaborated? Was the meeting held after Obama took office? It will be hard to imagine Republicans or average Americans can stomach even the idea of this. And what about this idea that all members were simply 'told' that it would happen? Democracy doesn't work that way, does it. And politics would come in even more complicated form than that.
Realistically speaking, in political, social and economic sense, do you think that US would so willingly bow their head to become part of a so-called North American Union? Let alone that it is to be partnering with Canada and Mexico?!
And in the form of the European Union? The EU is widely regarded by most (non-EU-bureaucrat) Europeans as a joke and a huge waste of taxpayers' money. Apathy and hostility by citizens towards this bureaucratic juggernaut is widespread. Were the US, the supposedly last beacon of hope in the free world, to become something like that, then God help America.

(The same concept as the European Union) If I was you, I'd be looking to trade anything but USD and CAD, there is too much risk in both currencies if you're looking to trade long term, It's really obvious the U.S. Dollar is heading for some deep declines, but the question in my mind is will the Dollar last long enough to see those major declines or will it be replaced by the amero first... Stear clear of USD and CAD is my advice to you, unless you're only looking at a short to medium term swing trade

Hello Brad;
you and I have been discussing Amero for a while now.
the rumors are persisting and I hope that these are just rumors.
Being a Canadian I do not look forward at common currency with Mexico; It is akin to having a common currency with Nigeria...
Personally, i still hold a Polish passport and although I have lived in Canada for great many years and I would like to stay here for good. But, if Amero doea happen, I will consider "voting with my feet". this will be the second time in my life.
Can you imagine, how things got screwed up on our side of the ocean? Absoltuely unbelievable , how far we progressed (down, that is).

Brad;
one more note.
How many years of planning did it take BEFORE the Euro was introduced? More than 20. Varoius agreements over the years, such as stability pact, numerous models, scenarios, calculations, forming the ECB. The next stage was the introduction of ECU (European Currency Unit) that preceded Euro for many years. Finally, they introduced the Euro in 1999 for accounting purposes. the banknotes and coins were introduced in 2002.
The point I am trying to make is that it takes years and years to introduce a new curency properly, without a shock to the system.
How can we introduce Amero in the dark, without any public discussion, by decree, without any planning? It will be like an earthquake. I can recall only one instance, when the US occupational force introduced the German Mark (DM) in 1949. They did it overnight, the whole country was shut down for 3 days.
Even now in Poland, they 've been talking about adopting Euro for 10 years now. But, there is a HUGE PUBLIC CONSULTATION PROCESS. And I don't mean sheeple, but smart people, like Ph.D.'s, university professors, bankers, lawyesr, economists, discussing pros and cons.
They do not want to repeat the same mistake, as Slovakia. They have too much to lose.
At the moment, they decided tentatively that 2012 might be the earliest date, but they might move it further ahead.

Mike, we're getting real close to the north american union... I see the U.S. likely being taken by force by millions of NATO troops that are already stationed inside the U.S. .. I believe there will be a lot of bloodshed... Nobody wants this and a lot of people will fight... If you keep up to date with nightly broadcasts on CNN you would notice that large groups of people have already started the revolt and are being called anti-government militia groups.... There is some scary stuff about to happen in the U.S. ... I am also a canadian citizen but thankfully I am not in the country at the moment and wont be for some time... I don't know if i will return if the north american union is put into place, I have my doubts...
I just posted some videos in my last post for Franosh, check them out....

Brad;
you should check out Webbot on the internet.
Look for the works of George Ure and Cliff High.
If you think, this is scary, the truth might overwhelm your bravest assumptions.
Personally, i am trying to "invent" the best method to protect myself and my family for the next 2-3 years. After that, things might stabilize a little.
BTW: I will watch the links you posted for Franosh later tonght and will let you know my thoughts.

Hello Brad,
So, according to your analysis, the dollar has about 15/16 months left before it's finally obliterated from existence? Will this be the same time when millions of NATO troops take over the US?
When I first glanced at your posts on the amero and the demise of the US, I assumed there was a large dose of irony present, perhaps you were even enacting a humorous parody regarding some of the rubbish that is written on the internet and often perpetuated by retail traders, many of whom often have a tendency towards being more paranoid and prone to conspiracy theories than most. Sadly, it appears that you actually believe these wild theories. Surely not, my friend.
For the record, posting a few Youtube clips does not validate your point of view. The internet, as you well know, can provide countless examples of people following any half-baked theory, no matter how absurd. And once someone has a bias or a leaning towards a particular way of thinking, sub-consciously one searches for articles and analysis that "confirms" our distorted way of thinking, rather than anything that challenges our conceptual framework.
The only positive I can draw from your posts on this subject is that you didn't use the white supremacist and holocaust denier, Hal Turner, to substantiate your views. This lunatic is often quoted to add credence to the wild theories surrounding the Amero.
For the record, I think your technical analysis is very thorough and to a high standard. Therefore, please continue to stick with a pure technical approach to the markets (as I am sure you do) and steer well clear of ever incorporating fundamentals.
Paul

Listen to this radio broadcast about the congress meeting held behind closed doors March 13th 2008---> YouTube - The Senate's Sinister Closed Meeting Disclosed Here In This

Take your time and understand what is going on out there..... I'm very worried for U.S. citizens right now, especially people that have been openly opposed to the new world order...
I would love to hear your thoughts after you've watched all those video's.. And same goes for any other readers... Spread the word people... The only thing that can stop the new world order is a well informed public..... But I doubt even that can stop them now...

Brad, before you decide to buy into all the contents in these videos and other related conspiracies, would you like to ask yourself a few questions? Were it to be true, what is it in it for America, and for Canada? Even giving allowance to all the conspiracy theories about disguised control by some banking moguls, why would they need this NWO to benefit? They don't have to, do they. Take it one step further, if they want more money, there is really no need for all these troubles. If they want power, why would they want it in the form of another union of some countries, and including Mexico? What is in it for them to have Mexico in a union? If they can only manipulate for power in such a disguised form, what is the point of having such power without explicit and easy way to exercise it? You don't believe that someone in some banking/finance dynasty would one day want to become crown king/emperor of the world, do you?
In the first video, it declared that the US and USD would be finished in late 2008. Now it is already late 2009, all is still well (sort of), right? And about the claim of foreign troops stationed in the US, it is frankly ludicrous. The claim discredits itself by showing pictures of some foreign soldiers, even the Chinese. On this front, I can say definitely to you: No. It's a false claim.
The EU is a different story. Europe is a small but fracturing continent. History of it is a bit long and harsh and most countries in it are small. The bigger ones have long past their glory in history, and any faintly hoped-for European power would have to come from a united form, not from any individual country. Plus, with the long shadow of 2 world wars and Russia right on the door step, some form of alliance is necessary to prevent to continent fall into any bitter and massive conflict again. Of course, as how things have always turned out, the bureaucrats are immensely incompetent in their policy making and lack of vision, Europe is now mired in huge problems and potential troubles. But that's a different story.
I agree that there will be some very hard time ahead for the US and the world, and it's ripe time for more conspiracy theories to flourish and to get ever more feverish. But on a rational and logical basis, it is just that, conspiracy theory.
I don't know where you are now, as an expatriate, or as an independent traveler? Canada is a lovely country (I once emigrated there, am not that fond of its high tax rate and long harsh winter though), you might not really need that much hesitation to return to it.

end of the world
Aaah, more end of the world talk.
Few things:
If everyone is super bullish, market trends usually end and reverse.
That is the same with "end of the world" talk. If everyone is talking about it, than chances are that it is not the end of the world.
From the beginning of history people have been talking about the end of the world, and the second coming of Christ. 70AD, the millenium, most recently 1999 and 2000, again 2002 with the twin tower attack. Even Leonardo da Vinci was obsessed by it, and look, here we still are.
Christ said: "there will be war and rumours of war, but that will not be the end" He also said that He would come "like a thief in the night", when nobody expects Him. That is what you have to keep in mind.
Prechter writes in his Elliott Wave theory that in recessions conspiracy theories go wild. Thats how it alway has been.
Can we crash, yes, can we have war, yes, but is that the end of the world? No.
Now, everyone back to trading!

Hey Vincy,
What are your thoughts/analysis on Dragon/JPY please? - Just read a BofE report, and they are stating the Dragon 'will remain weak in the long term'.. Coming from the BofE, I can see some further downside when this news is circulated..
