Thankyou,

At the moment, the Alerter only sends out emails as alerts.

We will take your audio alert suggestion into consideration, thank you for using the Alerter.

Did you enter your FXCM username and password when requested by the Alerter? What do you see prior and during the freeze?

Please attach your errorLog so we may have a better detailed idea of the error.

The errorLog is located at: C:\Program Files\Alerter\logs

The SMTP used should be smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Also, to use yahoo's smtp service, you must have a paid account.

You have mentioned that you used time warner cable as your internet service provider. If you are using roadrunner, you should be able to use their smtp service to send the emails.

As for free email alternatives, Gmail is another alternative if you have an account with them.

The difference would be that you will be getting live prices and you will need to enter your live account credentials.

Also set the account type to Real instead of Demo when you enter your credentials on the initial login window.

Also, make sure that on your live account you have multi session enabled if you plan on having multiple connections logged into your account.

For AT&T wireless, use:

10-digit-number@txt.att.net

Log files

Log files are empty.

Before the freeze I got the Login window and then as soon as I entered username/password and selected account type, Login window disappeared leaving main window.

After entering your credentials on the Login window and clicking "OK", does the main window have any output? Such as "Connection Established"?
