It does not seem that anything has changed on our end for the Alerter to stop working. What is the error message you are receiving?

Are you using a demo login? It's possible that your demo login has expired. Please try to login the FXCM Trading Station with the same login and password.

If your login has expired, please feel free to register for another 30-day demo at www.fxcm.com

Please contact your mobile service provider.

The SMS address is different for every provider and they would be better able to assist you on this matter.

They seem to have online support chat if it is more convenient for you.

You can visit them at: http://www.three.com.au/

At the moment there are no plans for including sound into the Alerter. However, it may be included in a future release. You may subscribe to the thread and if there are any new updates, you will be notified by email.

Hotmail uses HTTP protocol for connecting you to your mailbox, and does not offer SMTP like Yahoo mail, Gmail or AOL. Therefore, we suggest you to use one of the 3 mentioned mailbox instead of Hotmail.

Available for MAC?

I just downloaded the Alerter application, but the exe file triggered my virtual PC application, which slows down my computer too much. Can I use the Alerter app on my MAC? Thanks.

Java is an interpreted language. The exe that you have downloaded is simply an installer that extracts the files and places them in the correct location.

If you wish, you can simply go to the folder and copy the installed files to your MAC and run it there.

The location of the files are installed at: C:\Program Files\Alerter

Was the SSL checkbox selected?

Is your gmail username and password entered correctly?

You may be behind a firewall that prevents access.
