Hello hemo1983, and thank you for your post! Why won't the Trading Station Mobile application update on my iPhone 3G?
The new Trading Station Mobile application is not compatible with the iPhone 3G. The new Trading Station Mobile application is compatible with the iOS (iPhone) 4.0 or later (3GS, 4, 4S, 5) and Android phones 2.2 and up (ARMv7 or later). The Trading Station Mobile user guides are now in the Mac, Web, and Mobile Platforms section of the forum:
The updated version of the Trading Station Mobile FAQ will also be available in the Mac, Web, and Mobile Platforms section of the forum very soon!

Hello again hemo1983, and thank you for your post! Why isn't the Trading Station Mobile application compatible with the iPhone 3G?
When the device creator stops supporting an operating system (e.g. the iPhone 3G) they stop updating it with new functionality. Many of the new features of the Trading Station Mobile platform are only compatible with the iOS (iPhone) 4.0 and higher which are operating systems that are not compatible with the iPhone 3G; that's why the iPhone 3G won't work with Trading Station Mobile. If your device cannot support the Trading Station Mobile application then for now the only option available is to use another device that can. Please let me know if you need further assistance with this or anything else. Thank you and have a great weekend!

Automated trading
I have just joined the forum, and just set up an FXCM demo account.
I have a couple of questions I can't easily find answers to on the forums.
1 - What are the options for languages to code in, libraries of ready-built indicators, and development platforms?
2 - Is FXCM Trading Station an updated version of FXCM Strategy Trader, which I see a lot of posts about?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello justjamming, and thank you for your post! On behalf of myself and everyone here at FXCM, welcome to the forum community! What are the options for languages to code in?
The Trading Station Desktop platform is programmed in .lua formatting and the MetaTrader4 platform is programmed in MQL4. Please click here for more information about the Trading Station Desktop and it's automation features. That site will also show you where to find custom indicators / signals / strategies for it and how to program custom indicators / signals / strategies for it as well. Please click here for more information about how to find Expert Advisors and how to program them for the MetaTrader 4 platform. Is the FXCM Trading Station an updated version of the FXCM Strategy Trader platform?
They are both different platforms. The FXCM Strategy Trader platform is an old platform that FXCM no longer supports or updates. While the platform will be available to use for people that still have it downloaded on their computer, any bugs or issues that are faced with it will not be investigated or fixed by FXCM. I would highly suggest using another platform. Please click here for an overview of our products and services.

Hi Julius,
Small question regarding the trading station.
I cant find out how to remove several orders (that has not got to the market) at the same time.
I have found the close all open positions. But nothing for several entry orders that you want to remove at the same time quickly.
Is there any solution for this or is it not possible, in the trading station ?
Best regards, Remail

Hi remail,
Thank you for your post!
You can delete multiple entry orders by holding down the "Ctrl" button and clicking on each individual order you would like to close. Once all the Entry orders that you want to delete are highlighted, right-click on any of the highlighted orders and select "Remove Order." This will delete all of the selected orders at once.
Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks and have a great day!

11-26-2012, 07:01 AM #159 Desktop platform freezes
Hello, FXCM
I have been using the FXCM desktop platform for over 10 months now with no issues at all.
All of a sudden, my platform has started to respond very slowly. It freezes every time I bring up Marketscope.
It happens to both my demo and live accounts, even when I only have one pair up in Marketscope.
Nothing has changed in regards to my internet connection and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the platform, but the problem persists.
I have been using the online trading station which is working fine.
However, whenever I scroll back to fairly old historical prices, the candlesticks start to look funny, with lots of gaps. This didn't happen to the desktop platform.
Can someone please advise on how to fix my problem with either the desktop or online trading platform?
Thanks in advance.

Hi ttfreitas,
First of all make sure that when you are doing uninstall, you do it fully. Please see the picture below.
If it won't help you, then do the following: when the problem occurs again, please save your layout and send it to us on the support@gehtsoftusa.com. - To save a layout go to the Marketscope menu -> File -> Layouts -> Save Layout...
- To send it to us, please go to the folder where TS/Marketscope is installed, find previously saved layout and send it to us. By default the Layouts folder is located here: %\Program Files\Candleworks\Layouts\Name of the saved layout
Best regards,
Ekaterina

Ekaterina Hello, Ekaterina
I have sent through to you a copy of the layout as per your request.

Hi ttfreitas,
This layout doesn't have any big problems. Anyway sometimes charts hanging when border style of shapes is non-solid or line width is more than 1 pixel, mostly because of a PC capacity. The best workaround for you is: set border stile of rectangle to solid or choose 1 pixel line width (the first one width in the drop-down list), or perhaps both.
Best regards,
Ekaterina

Ekaterina Hello, Ekaterina
Thank you very much for your prompt reply.
I have changed the style of my shapes as per your advice and the trading station seems to be working beautifully!
Thanks!
It's interesting how something seemingly indifferent in terms of capacity, like a particular shape style, would require so much more memory compared to a 'simpler' style.
In regards to PC capacity, I am sure I have more than enough. I'm running the platform in an Intel Quad with 4GB of RAM.
And the platform is the only application I run when I have it up.
Perhaps FXCM should highlight somewhere (in the help menu or in the manual) that using excessive shapes with particular settings might slow down the platform's processing.
Anyway, once again, thanks Ekaterina!
Cheers -
12-05-2012, 02:20 AM #165 Monthly Gaps
Hello, great FXCM staff!
I had to reinstall my trading station recently while troubleshooting to solve an issue I had with my trading station.
As you can see from some of the below emails, my issue was solved.
Now I have another question.
Gaps are showing up in a few of my monthly charts that didn't use to be there.
I have attached an example (USDJPY) but the same is happening to other japanese pairs and gold.
What's going on?
Thanks in advance.
