Incorrect Username or Password - Live Account

If you receive the error message, “Incorrect Username or Password” when logging into a live Trading Station II Account, then the login or password entered into the login window are incorrect.

Are the login and password correct?

If your username and password are correct, then there are several ways to resolve your login issues:

STEP 1: Change the Connection field to REAL to connect to a live account.

STEP 2:Click into the Login and Password fields and hit the BACKSPACE and DELETE buttons several times. Then re-enter the login and password.

STEP 3:Check your records to make sure the correct login and password (CASE-SENSITIVE) are in each box. Do not COPY or PASTE the login or password into the login fields. If you did, please re-enter them manually.

Are you still unable to login? Then a password reset is the best solution.

If you are still unable to login after completing the steps above, then the easiest solution is to reset your password.

You can reset your password online at www.myfxcm.com by clicking on "Forgot Password". A temporary password will be sent to you by email and can be changed after you login. For a visual guide to resetting your password online, click here.

If you are unable to reset your password online, then Click Here to Chat and we can reset your password. A new temporary password will be sent by email to the email address on file. You can update your temporary password to a unique password after you login.

Help! I can't login and I need to place a trade!

If you cannot log into your platform online, then we encourage you to call the trading desk. You can place trades by phone without any additional fees. Cannot Connect to http Server

If you receive an error message that begins with, “Cannot Connect to fxcorporate.com server”, then the computer you are using cannot connect to the Trading Station II platform.

The most common reason for this message is attempting to login during the weekend when we are completing weekly system maintenance. When the trading desk is closed, we do weekly system maintenance. During weekly system maintenance (Friday afternoon to Sunday), you may not be able to log into the trading platform.

When is the Trading Desk Closed?

The Trading Desk is closed from:
    • Friday 4:00 PM to Sunday 5:15 PM New York time (EST)
    • Friday 9:00 PM GMT to Sunday 10:15 PM GMT.
    • Saturday 6:00 AM to Monday 7:15 AM Sydney time (AET)

    FXCM Trading Desk Weekend Calendar:

    Friday

    Saturday

    Sunday

When does weekly scheduled maintenance happen?

Maintenance starts after 4:00 PM Friday EST, usually by 5:00 PM, and can continue through the weekend. On many weekends the maintenance ends by Saturday afternoon.

If you attempt to login during the maintenance, you will receive a standard error messsage. The message you receive is not specific to your account, computer, or internet connection. You will be able to log on after maintenance ends, and start trading after the 5:15 PM EST trading open on Sunday.

For a weekend trading FAQ, click here.

    Enjoy your weekend!

Are you receiving this error message while the trading desk is open?

If the trading desk is open, then the computer you are using cannot connect to the Trading Station II platform. Here are some potential solutions:

    1. If you are using Windows Vista, right click on the Trading Station icon on your Desktop and select, “Run as an Administrator” from the drop-down menu. If you are not using Windows Vista, skip this step.

    2. Configure your Firewall. Your firewall may be blocking the FX Trading Station from connecting to the internet. To connect, please open your personal firewall settings and allow the FXCM Trading Station II with Internet Access.

    3. If you are using a wireless connection, please switch the connection to a physical connection and login. Sometimes a wireless connection will not be strong enough to support a real-time price feed and the weak connection will result in connection issues.
    • Tip: If you need to use a wireless connection, disable any symbols you do not trade to reduce the resources required to maintain your connection.

    Still having connection issues?

If you need further login help, please post your question and we will reply with an answer!

Why does my connection drop? Why is my connection poor or unstable?

There are several solutions to improve your connection to FXCM:

Are you using a wireless connection?

Wireless Internet connections may allow you to connect to the FXCM Trading Station II platform but the connection may drop if the wireless connection is not strong enough. The FXCM Trading Station II updates constantly with the latest prices and normal web browsing does not require this much dedicated resources. If possible, please change to a physical connection and try logging into the platform.

    • TIP: If you have to use a wireless connection, then disable any symbols you do not trade to reduce the resources required to maintain your connection.

What else can fix my connection issues?

FXCM’s latest Web-based platform called the Trading Station Gateway (TSG)* is a great solution to improve your connection if you have difficulties maintaining a connection to the FXCM Trading Station II. The platform requires no download and has a lot of the same great features of the FXCM Trading Station II.

There are some differences to the Web-based TSG platform including:

    • All trades must be placed from the Trading Station Gateway platform or by phone.
    • All Trading Station Gateway accounts must be denominated in U.S. dollars.
    • At this time, Trading Station Gateway cannot trade CFD** instruments (oil, gold, stock indices).

To switch your live account to trade with the web-based TSG platform, simply complete the online form below when you have no open trades:

FXCM LTD (UK) Web-Based TSG Transfer Form l FXCM LLC (US) Web-Based TSG Transfer Form

To open a new Web-based TSG account, please click on one of the links below:

FXCM LTD (UK) Web-Based TSG Open an Account l FXCM LLC (US) Web-Based TSG Open an Account

To learn more about the Web-based TSG platform, please visit one of the links below:

FXCM LTD (UK) Web-based TSG Platform l FXCM LLC (US) Web-based TSG Platform

Do you need help logging into the platform? Click Post Reply and let us provide a solution!

    Chart Options

I have noticed that when watching videos like the one found at...
    http://forexforums.dailyfx.com/eur-u...tml#post620325

The Moderator has a tab for a chart of SPX500 and would like to do the same as well as being able to see charts like the Dollar Index within MarketScope 2.0.

How can I do this myself?

Thank you for your post Brainborn1968!

I believe this is one of our CFD products. We do offer CFD’s, however they are unfortunately not available in the US, due to regulations.

With that being said, you can absolutely trade our CFD products in a demo account, found here.

    What are CFD’s?

Clients of FXCM Ltd. (FXCM UK) can trade Stock Indices, Oil, and Precious Metals from their FXCM Trading Station using CFDs. CFD stands for Contract for Difference. CFDs are specialized and popular Over the Counter (OTC) financial products that allow traders to easily take broad market positions in a variety of different financial markets. Where can I find custom indicators, such as USDX?

We do have custom indicators available on Marketscope 2.0 charts as well. Click here to see the website.

For the USDX (US Dollar Index) custom indicator, click here.

Please, note, that you must be subscribed for all instruments required to calculation: EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GBP/USD, USD/CAD, USD/SEK and USD/CHF. If at least one of the instruments is not subscribed, the indicator fails!

I had the pleasure of making this mistake when I first uploaded this indicator; please do not repeat my error!

I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, please let us know!
