Ive used the TS as a web based client for a demo account and have now opened a micro account. Can I use the TS web platform on this account? Reason I ask is I run a linux PC and so dont really want to have to install MS software to run the client for the micro account.

    Sorry if its a n00b question....first post! w00t!

    Ooops, search is your friend.
    Just found this.
    http://forexforums.dailyfx.com/other...-platform.html (Web-Based Forex Platform)

Looks like I will have to succumb to Mr. Gates and MS.....
Tried installing under WINE and didnt seem to work. Will look for other avenues first.

I have a question about e-mail settings for strategy alerts... I use g-mail, how can I set the ports on TS? Do I need to use a different e-mail host to use with TS to receive e-mail alerts when my strategies place trades?

    Thanks,

    Ek0

    Layout and template saving

    Dear Folks,
I've been using TSII for a while. I am buying a Macbook very soon and wanted to solve some doubts:

Is there any way to save the layout being used in the Trading Station Web, so I can have my graphs on another computer?

Does synchronising the web browsers on different computes work for this purpose?

Is there any way to upload the TSII layouts to the TS Web?

I hope anyone can help me out with this.

    Many thanks,

Question How to set alarm and change candlestick fill?

Some functions on the PC Trading Station that I can't find on the web version:

Ability to set an alarm at price X.
Ability to change a candlestick's fill color

Do these functions exist on the web version?

    Thanks,
    4d

    Trading Station Education

I am new to the trading world, forex and the trading station platform. I opened a minimum $50.00 live account to take advantage of the free education so I can learn how to trade because that's what I can afford right now. To me operating the trading station properly is similar to learning how to drive a car. I need a trading platform drivers ed course with an instructor more accurately I need a Mario Andretti to teach me how to drive an Indy car. Am I missing something ? Obviously the 3 minute videos offered to me so far are wholly inadequate for my needs. I am not complaining, if my expectations are not realistic and I have to pay more money to get the one on one training I need that's perfectly fine I need to know how much to determine if I can afford it. I apologize but I really am tired of being directed to a three minute felix the cat cartoon and then looked at like a moron because I don't grasp the trading platform ? Any Ideas ?

    Hi Dale,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your post!

I agree that at times traders need more than simple videos that show summaries of the what the Trading Station platform can do. This is why we've created Live Trading Station walkthrough webinars that you can attend and ask question in real time. Best of all, it's free!

To check out our schedule of upcoming walkthroughs and attend, click here. Good luck with your trading!
