I was just looking at the 4hr chart and it is looking awfully like a Tea Cup continuation pattern. If it is then it has the potential to head up towards 1.3745.
Im new to the forum and CANNOT workout how to contact other users. I can see there are a lot of us online, but I cant message any of you. Sorry to post this here.
I am just looking for thoughts on the current EUR/USD at 1.3445. Do I short it, or buy it?

Depending on your risk, you can short here @1.345 with the stop above 1.35 with 50- 60 pips stop loss, and bet that it will have a some correction.
There seem to have a bearish divergence on the 4 hour chart on RSI and stocastic show.
Beside I expect this pair to move lower after asia close
great! Thanks for your advice. Im only trading small positions at the moment - around $20,000 so a loss of 50-60 pips will only cost me about $100. Not a big deal. How low do you expect this to fall before I cash in and cut my position?
Hi chris.. I had a blast today and I have beaten my all time record in making pips today..most of my longs did come out rt around the high though bit disappointed cuz i had shorts waiting b.w 3481-99 to end the day. had a very good run on gu as well on the breakout again almost to the high..
Going forward i'm leaving long entries I'm spotting around 3330.. This needs to hold and we need to head above 3500, if not then I expect a major failure of 1.34 lvl.. we simply are not able to keep a footing on it and i was hoping today we did...
anyways my last attempt to see a possible close higher to 3450 tomoro else i will be seriously considering shorting eu across the board..
One thing i have learned good and is that mkt doesn't take rejection happily..
Indeed if we can close higher to 3470, we can surely see it pop esp to my last hurdle of 3636.. then sky is the limit......
I'm still following the charts I did on weekend..... and so far so good..
Calling it a nite.......
Ayoo........ that was a nice ride u had to the south..... Keep it up..
GL .......
Very logical analysis, Stryker. But my money is on a massive move up from here. The technicals are incredibly bullish (= MY technicals, the Daily charts where the 10 day SMA looks ready to blast through the 30-day on the back of very bullish MACD/RSI/MOM indicators).
As for the Fundies, ......... the U.S. continues to disappoint. Just look at the Consumer Confidence readings.
At some point u want to short the hard part is picking a price todo it. I know Joel Kruger, dailyfx analyist, had a sell recomendation on GBP/USD at 1.6090 we MIGHT get there tonight. This is the .786 retracement level and SHOULD hold up.
Petum My advice throw yourself into Elliott wave theory. You will not regret it. If you like math you will be astounded at what it can do, but do not go into a trade unless YOU know why you are. Sometimes it will go well but .....
It is very nice when people let you know what they are doing but your best bet is for you to know why you are doing something.

limit in the region between 1.3250 - 1.33 , however i would close the position into American close the lastest even the target is not reach.
Hopefully we can survive the remaining of the Asia trading sesion
As I wrote in my yesterday's article [EFSF might change the political landscape] url Articles that it is German Politicians which seem to be fueling all support for Euro by their comments and Ms. Merkel just said "Germany would do everything necessary to guarantee Euro".
Has U.S ever said the same thing, not once not twice but the number of times Germany or other EU members have aired their comments about Euro? I believe not and the only other example which matches this one I feel is of Mr. Kan who while he was even the Finance Minister said a number of times he wanted to see a weaker Yen but even after he became the Prime Minister and except for the hyped up intervention by BOJ which was only done twice Yen kept getting stronger. Why? Because there was lots and lots of talk but no action. I know this from top of my head that between Aug and Oct 2010 officials from Japan warned the market of intervention some 12 times only to do it twice and forget about it!
I went short yesterday and had a trailing stop which got executed. So, I went short yet again at 34786 much better short price this time around.
I think Zifx25 signature says it all "Talk less do more!"

Thanks mate. Only 10 minutes to go in Tokyo and our trade is still alive. If we can see out the close in hong kong in just over an hour, hopefully we'll see some downward movement.
