Ok Merkel has cancelled today's planned end of day statement as talks continue. (latest headline from about 13 minutes ago).

I have shorted into the recent spike. Price: 1.2444

Rob - thank you for an excellent response on the healthcare news out of the U.S today. Highly appreciated. And guys, if half this forum is about gold and aud, then why not allow discourse over major issues such as today's healthcare news (which impacts the dollar and therefore the EUR/USD pair).

euro going up - good shorting opertunity - yeah i agree with your 'fair value' euro but doesn't seem to be taking the most direct root there.

to any folk who do not wish to read my posts please ignore them and if will power will not allow then there is a 'ignore' facility within the forum

live in south of manchester area - but scotish father and swedish mother and thats as far back as i'v checked my family tree

you seem to know a bit about low carbon/tax cars - why cant they convert solar, wind, tidal etc energy into hydrogen (electrolysis) to store (as not always sunny/windy when demand) - then use scaled up fuel cell technology developed for cars as giant power stations producing on demand - clean energy and no need for oil/gas from unstable parts of the world

Forgive me as this isn't related to the Eur/USD....Just responding to a potential friends post......

Oh Dear Biggari, I'm with you on alternative energy! Can't wait to have solar panels and be off the grid! Goal for the future! Here is the issues before us all.....It takes more electricity to create the necessary reaction to get the hydrogen out of water as it does to just put it in a battery. So since the cost is higher to create the hydrogen, it just makes sense to put it in a battery and then take it out as needed. While I love the idea of Hydrogen it just isn't cost effective yet and Electricity and batteries are here today and ready! I don't have enough money yet to start building the panels I want to build! There is a guy near me in NJ that has put solar all over his house....installed tons of hydrogen storage tanks and drives his car on hydrogen. So everything is solar driven in his house. Here is my maiden voyage in my EV that I made.... http://youtu.be/OoPyWQ81gnY

If you are happy with the Court or Not, jump for joy or plan your next attack but unless this impacts the overall currency pair we are discussing, please don't rant here! I'm not interested. I hope you don't take this the wrong way! I just don't feel like discussing this kind of stuff on this forum. I thought it was exclusively for the EUR/USD currency pair! Am I wrong here?
My apologies if I rambled on and on about it too long for your taste, but I did get a specific request from Midas to explain this case, for those outside the US who have no idea what it was about.

No harm no foul Robert. I'm not in favor of this ruling because I believe it hurts the economy because of the massive taxes that it puts on small business. The taxes start in 2014 and it is going to hurt! It ends up being the largest tax increase in mankinds history! I don't want this great forum spiraling into this issue that is dividing this great country!. I am most likely on the other side of the political fence then you and can hash out every point x 10 and at this point, what does it benefit the rest of the forum here....thats all I was trying to say! I hope you make money and we all make money and I hope the Tobin Tax never sees the light of day!

Even if it does end up being a net positive for the economy, it will of course shift the burden around, and some will be hurt (but not the Big Boys, that's for sure). We can at least find agreement there.

The growing contentiousness of the politics is itself becoming a factor in the economic stagnation. I will be voting for Obama, but not because I am happy with him, just because the Republicans frequently scare me; and I know many will be voting for Romney, not because they are happy with him, but because Obama frequently scares them. The political classes are particularly useless lately, as I said-- which is why I have no great hopes for the outcome of this European Summit (how's THAT for a quick pivot back to the topic?)

Thanks for the compliment about the car! It took a while to build but I love it! In 2008 when I built it I couldn't just go out and buy a Leaf! I was ahead of everyone else! Love it!

Don't worry I knew who you were going to vote for already! It was obvious! I wouldn't call you undecided! Don't call me one either! Romney has a winning issue now! Every place this has come up for a Vote it has died! Ted Kennedy's seat is Republican, NJ has a Republican Governor as a result. The congress is Republican because of it and now it is Romney's to lose. McCain gave us this because of his inept campaign and this is the be all and end all! The only way to reduce costs is to limit care! Having bureaucrats making medical decisions is the WORST POSSIBLE way to deliver care! I'm breaking my own rule.....moment of weakness.....Please forgive me. I was preoccupied thinking about 16,000 new IRS agents to go collect this massive tax increase! Somehow I fail to understand why people want the medical care of the VA!

got a continuation chart and a reversal chart. but heck the trend is down still so i prefer the bearish view.

still got both bearish view and bullish view
i was out all day so was not by the computer but i had an order triggered.
i did not expect that high of a spike up to the 200MA. but we did go way back down. i had orders waiting up there and got triggered, but heck, it hit my stop was just a tab to tight and got stopped out of my order around 15 pips below before it went back in to profit.

ok i went short about 3 hours ago and im expecting a move down to 1.2380 and we below the daily pivot again tonight my time so i do expect price to move lower till that level ish. i got my stop 1.2480......

also got a little bull flag u can play out for short term pips
GL and hope your trade works out for all of you
