Im still short 147.70 and waiting to add a further short targeting 145.80. I agree price is going to climb up some, probaly a retest of 149 and will get in around there. I have a long order now at 149.80 and will stop shorts there.

Good entry, Im in again at 148.40 stop at 149.90. Will probaly close at 146.60. Once again price is struggling at the 148.50 level so I cant see this going above yesterdays 4hr shooting star at 148.90. Im not convinced there will be the volalitility thats been promised this week. Most funds have been priced in.
Closed yesterdays shorts for 100 pip profit and made a few scalps this morning, happy to be picking up some small 20-30 pip profits along the way.

Hey how u doing bro. is 146.16 the .618 fibs from highs of 162 and lows of 125? or is that S1? I'm currently short with SL at 149 from 148.31 for a very small position. But I strongly believe there's more of an upside to come. Tomorrow's FOMC news would trigger a breakout IMO. Till then would just carry out this trade for today. Target would be around 147.

happy trading

Add: For the Upside, see Vincy's EW chart on the EW forums. He has some interesting posts regarding EW. Would head up to 149ish or 150 before resuming down IMO before this week ends.

Hello all,

I see another 150-175 pip drop on this pair this week and next week. I don't hold a crystal ball here and I am not telling anyone to go short, but that's what my chart analysis tells me right now. Since I'm already short for a while on this pair, this comes as good news for me, BUT... I don't know (no one does) if this will happen, so I'm keeping my profit taking stops in place in case of a reversal.

GBPJPY volatility on October's NFP announcement

Even pairs not having the USD as a part of them can and do experience volatility relative to the NFP. Here is last month's 5 minute chart as the number was announced.

Since NFP is this Friday, be aware...

Not a very eventful first 2 days, closed my shorts at 148. Will stay in the sidelines, and would jump in on a breakout on FOMC in a few hours time.

Are you from the Singapore/Malaysia area? If yes it will be released at 3.15am on Thursday Singapore/M'sia time.

You can go to dailyfx.com/calendar for more upcoming news.

Hope that helps.
