Thank You for your reply and attachement. Sorry for asking this but I am not well versed in progaming. How do you in stall the attachement into MT4 for it to work.

Your help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Where this indicator takes the tick data?

    Hello A.Gettinger,
While the indicator is in use, it builds candles using every incoming tick. When the indicator starts it restores a number of candles from historical data stored in the Metatrader history folder. If the data is missing, it tries to fetch it. There may be minor differences comparing to the previous chart shape, since the sub-minute details have been lost.
The indicator does not repaint if you only change a time frame of the source chart. But some other actions (parameter change, restart of terminal, long-lasting connection drop) cause the indicator to throw its tick data away and start over.
I hope you got what you asked for, happy pips, Ovo.

MT4 History does not contain tick data. Do you use data from the M1 timeframe?

I thought I was clear enough in my previous entry. It uses tick data when running, and it uses historical data when restoring history after the launch. Mostly it is the M1 data, but not necessarily.

See two identical 3-pip range bars charts, the upper running for a long time, while the lower just after the launch. If it you are not satisfied with the quality of the reconstruction on the lower chart, just keep the indicator running over a time to have full data in it.
