Daily Bar open Date
Hi again all
Looking at the Indicore documentation, it mentions that the date and time provided by bar_stream:date is "always in EST timezone".
Is that strictly true? Does it really mean always EST or does it really mean always NY time? They are not the same -- NY uses EST in winter and EDT in summer.
I'm trying to understand where the bar open / close will be cut -- 5pm EST, which is the same time regardless of the time of year, or 5pm NY time, which is going to vary by an hour depending on the time of year and is what FXCM does in Marketscope, ST, and other charting packages.
I assume the documentation is wrong and should say that the time zone is New York time, not EST, right? That would make Indicore consistent with other FXCM offerings (except MT4, don't get me started on that )

Hi mark27q1,
Yes, Indicore use NY time for it's calculation. Thank you very much for reporting the issue. We will make changes in documentation.
Best regards,
Ekaterina

Thanks for the clarification. Also I'm glad there is consistency across different platforms that are under FXCM's control.
