No clue
Never been on a Forum before in my life... Hope this gets to the right place...
My wife and I are just starting to look at trading live. We have been demo trading for months and I have been looking at the market for about five years.
We got roped into one of those "courses" and subscriptions with a company that was later closed down by the SEC. That lesson cost us $5,000...
I am hopeful that the information contained in this area will actually have some value to it.
My biggest problem is figuring out where the information is hidden and once located how to assign a value to the information.
Greg, we saw you live this morning but was unable to gleem much because of the poor quality of the image. We saw you draw lines but could not really see where and why...
Do you have any documentation on your trading strategies that we could read?
Thanks,
Frank & Claire...

Hi all,
Im David From Spain, i'm watching Greg's live sessions during last week, this sessions are great for people who want to learn to trade, Thanks Greg.
I have experience trading stocks, I used to trade mid-term, weeks or months, i have no experience scalping neither with forex.
I've discovered forex some months ago, and since then I haven't stopped to learn and practice, my goal is to make a living from trading, not just forex, forex, indexes and stocks.
What i like most from forex is how easy is to go long or short, and there's no gaps, and amazing thing to be a daytrader in comparisson with stock markets or the indexes where usually big moves occurs while the markets are closed.
I'm actually practicing with fcxm demo account, waiting to be profitable and reliable before to go to the market with real money.
I need to solve some problems with my mindset and controlling my emotions, and getting confidence on my analysis which usually are right.
Well, here I am, to increase my practice hours and trying to be ready to start to fly bymyself.
Thanks to Dailyfx, Fcxm, Greg, and all the instructors from the trading course, all you are great and your lessons and tips have great quality and are very helpful for newbies like me.

Where do I find the webinars and are they in more than one location?
I even had problems finding my way back to here

I am glad you found us. The emotions of Fear and Greed are the too biggest ones that traders deal with all the time. After a while indicators, chart patterns and all the fundamental jargon become easy. The last obstacle are those emotions but they can be controlled and trained to help you instead of hurting you.

Hello!
Hi!
My name is Giovanni, and I'm a portuguese Master student in Finance, trying to discover more about the "Trading the News" fenomena.
Do somebody know some literature refference for "Trading the News in the FX Market"
And which are the most important Releases: based on which criteria does the Dailyfx classifies an economic event importance as "low", "medium", or "high"?
If somebody can help me out here I'll be very pleased. Thanks.

Hi I am Andy from Australia.
I am very new to the FOREX scene, and just started demo trading on the FXCM trading station this week.
I have been working in the healthcare sector for the past 10 years and wanted to earn some part time income with some liquid capital I had saved up. Wasn't actively thinking about the FOREX market until about 1 month ago and was keen to try it out.
I have been self learning about the basics of FOREX trading for the past 1 month, and am just getting a feel for trading using a demo account. There is so much information to absorb and digest, but....I am actually really enjoying learning about it! Funny enough, finance and economics seems to be like a subject I should have studied in school, since I find the topics and information so interesting and relevant.
I am hoping that in the upcoming months, I can fine tune my trading strategies and learn as much as I can from those who are at the top of their field. I don't plan to go live for a while yet, so this is just the learning phase and the fine tuning phase.
I happen to follow one of those live sessions today, conducted by Greg McLeod. Normally I don't participate in these sessions, but the pop up reminder said that he was conducting sessions on the FXCM Active Trading Station, and I was still unfamiliar with all the tools on it.
I am glad I took part, because Greg's scalping techniques was the rough strategy I have been following myself, albit, with luck, more than proper technical analysis. I have a long way to go to reach the point where I can employ the technical analysing skill as Greg did, and it will be an interesting learning experience I am sure.
So I will be looking forward to reading up in the forum, getting to know you all and learn from the likes of Greg and the rest of the instructors.
Cheers,
Andy

Hi Andy, this is David, also from Australia... Sydney to be exact. I have been trading for 10 months now and still on demo. It takes a while to REALLY learn this business, but persistance is the key, it will happen.
Can I just say that before you get roped into spending money on courses and people trying to sell you the golden goose of trading, ALL you will ever need to be a successful trader is right HERE at DailyFX. It took me 10 months to work that out and over a thousand dollars of education, which I might ad is ALL here.
Welcome and stick with it!!
David. :0)
