Question Re: Trading Station

I had a BUY trade in progress on USD/JPY. A few minutes later I entered a SELL on the same pair. The BUY was cancelled and the SELL was never entered. Is there an explanation?

Hi Phanna,

Good question! As of 5/15/2009 NFA has a regulation of no longer allowing hedging. What you did was a hedge move, which is why the original BUY order is closed and the SELL order never took place. Please click on the following link for a video on No Hedging and click here for more information on No Hedging. However, if you wish to have hedging ability, you may transfer your account to FXCM Micro UK for our second round of transferring. We do not have an transfer date yet, so stay tuned for a date!

Thank you for responding. I had assumed that your explanation was the case. Does this mean that ANY order (even if it is placed days later) is considered a HEDGE if it is an order contrary to the one inprogress?
