Hello LitheInvestment, and thank you for your post!

Are there any plans for bringing back the "Be Your Own Analyst" contest?

Although there aren't any plans at this time to bring back the "Be Your Own Analyst" contest, I have forwarded your suggestion over to the correct department to see if we can bring it back sometime in the future. The more requests we receive for bringing this contest back the more likely it will be to return. If anyone else would like to request the return of the BYOA contest you can submit your interest by sending an email to research@dailyfx.com.

For now you can find out what other traders are talking about and share your own ideas by visiting the following sections of the forum:

The "My Trading Journal" section of the forum is a great place for traders to come together and interact with one another, share trading ideas, ask questions about FX or markets in general. This is a forum community after all, and it is a very popular section amongst our forum members.

Keeping a Trading Journal can be very beneficial for traders because it allows them to go back to see what they have done well in the past, maybe recognize what they haven’t done so well in the past, learn from it, and improve their overall trading experience. I highly recommend keeping one!

Thank you again for your post LitheInvestment! Please feel free to post with additional questions or contact me directly at julius@fxcm.com

Yes the last King of the Micro contest was July of 2012's contest (July's Contest Results - Winner Returns 956.51%).

Why did I receive an email inviting me to the King of the Micro contest?

I am not sure why you received that email tamaras because as mentioned the King of the Micro contest is officially over. We are investigating to see why you may have received it. Do you have an Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for the new trading contest that FXCM is planning on starting?

I think it´s really good idea to make FXCM jobs for contests prizes... someone would make the formula with smallest drawdowns and largest equity gains with safest use of leverage (best MM with biggest gains) for six months and the winner or 3 best gets the job with at least 50k starting account.

Well, there should not be any drowndown competition among the participants for the contest, `cause every system requires its own method of working(money management) and the most important factor is the final per cent age of profit.
Also I dont think the initial deposits should be more than $500 , `cause as usual people try their new strategies to work. And they could be aggressive , but really profitale , esp. to balance the trader`s portfolio (a sort of diversification) And we might see a smaller amount of participants next time.
The main goal for this competition is to show your skills , abilities and tell about your system and the increasing of prize would certainly attract more new clients and make the company more known in the eastern countries.
    IMHO
