Hi HJZhu100,

If you are looking to use a demo, you will not be able to login with your live account ID and password. Please click on the following link to register for a demo account http://www.forexmicrolot.com/open-free-micro.jsp

Exclamation Demo account login and Info

Hello Everyone,

This is just a quick note, demos will expire every 30 days. So if you wish to have a demo after the 30 days, please click on the following link to register for a new demo http://www.forexmicrolot.com/open-free-micro.jsp
Also, not many people know this but you can actually have both the demo and live account up at the same time. All you have to do is log into the first account, then double click on the TS II icon again and log into the second account.

Wadams,

oh you can't do that. FXCM Micro's demo account only lasts for 30 days.. and once its done, it can not be altered. You can register for a new demo though.. they are pretty good a letting you signing up for new demos. They actually encourage that so people can practice to get better!!

New to Forex

It is Friday 6-5-09 after the markets are closed. I am trying to log into my micro demo account so that I can set up charts etc. but I keep getting this log in error: ORA-12029: The attempt to connect to the server failed.

How am I supposed to log in when the markets are closed?

Hi Eminiforex,

Usually around 6:30 PM (New York City time) on Friday and during most of the weekend, you cannot access the FXCM Trading Station anymore.

You will also notice that, on some occasions, the MarketScope becomes active on Saturday afternoon and sometimes even on early Sunday, at least for a few hours.

What I suggest is this : leave your Trading Station open before the market closes on Friday and open as many charts as you need (if necessary scroll down to see more data), again before the market closes. Of course after 6:30 PM (Friday) you won't be able to open NEW charts (because the price server goes into maintenance mode) but at least you will still be able to review your charts off-line.

Of course you do NOT need to logon to your FXCM account to use the Marketscope charting software, you can always use it even if the market is closed (no new charts though), to review your saved charts for example.

Hope this helps.

Hi eminiforex,

Over the weekend, most of the time we do maintenance work on our Trading Station, therefore, sometimes, you will not be able to log into your Trading station.

demo / live account issue

I was just approved for a live micro account and then I downloaded the platform and I am able to log into the live account but when I use the drop down window for Demo It says incorrect username and password. The email I received with my live account said that I can use the same Login ID and Password for both demo and live?

How can I resolve this?

Please note logins for demo and live accounts are different. Your LIVE account password and login is given to you by our operations department. You can however continually create new demo logins by going to Forex Trading Micro Lots | FXCM Micro and clicking on FREE PRACTICE ACCOUNT

Having Two Demo Accounts?

Hi,

I opened a demo account about a week ago and then tried to login on a Saturday and couldn't, so I opened another demo account. Later I realized what the problem was and tried to login to my first demo account on a weekday but couldn't. It gives me a "Wrong user name or password" error even though the user name and password are correct. Is this because I have two demo accounts?

Thanks

Please note that clients will have difficulty logging in to their accounts whether demo or real when the Trading Desk is closed.

The trading desk closes on Fridays at 4 PM EST and reopens on Sundays at 5:15 PME ST.

Hi Lena,

Thank you for responding. I understand that there are problems with logging in when the market is closed. I have three demo accounts and can only login to the most recent one I opened up. I can't login to the the other two. It says the password and/or user id is incorrect but they are correct.

Is there a problem with having two or more demo accounts?

Thanks Again for your help
