**** are usually a very bad sign for trace routes, it means it can't get through after a whole 1000 ms. Usually trading applications are more sensitive to bad internet connections & latency than web browsing.

In my opinion the download to the micro station is independent of the issue. here's the steps to load the version you had before http://www.fxcm.com/software-download.jsp and here to remove the current version http://forums.forexmicrolot.com/show...?p=502#post502

My suggestion would be to 1) try a proxy connection 2) call your ISP 3) use one of the other platforms they make available

Proxies (open the platform, cancel the login box, go to system, proxy)
Host: 165.228.129.10 Port: 3128
Host: 208.83.221.138 Port: 3128

Heres the java and web based platform http://www.fxcorporate.com/JTS/FXTS.jnlp
https://webts.fxcorporate.com/fxtsht...logs/login.xml

Hope this helps

Trouble with Demo - Do I have one - and a LOT more

Hi, I have applied for a LIVE ACCOUNT but it has not cleared yet as per accepting my ID and "document coversheet."
I did receive a "USERNAME" which infact is a NUMBER - one of a few confusing terms misused.
I did receive an "ACCOUNT ID #" which is apparently only referred to as an "ACCOUNT NUMBER" - this is confusing term number 2 - in that it should be referred to EXACTLY AS IT IS STATED as an "ACCOUNT ID NUMBER"
Now, I also recall entering a password that demanded I have at least one capital letter and at least one number and a string at least 8 characters long.
My problem is I have downloaded the software and was able to get into my "live account" which is as yet not funded due to waiting for my application to clear but I am unable to practice in the meantime because my live ID - confusing as it is - is not working to bring up a demo account.
Do I need to open a seperate account with a different ID and PASSWORD or are the accounts linked?
I have to say that I am not impressed by the confusing - non sequiter - terminology and the fact that the live and demo account usage are not synced.
I could continue but lets see if we can resolve the main issue here:

1) Do I have a demo account? Meaning is it automatically activated with my live account?
2) How do I access a/my demo account?
3) How is it that I can access my live account even though I have not been accepted as a client and thus have also yet to have funded it?

After that could you please explain why the terminology is not crystal clear so as to not confuse anyone. What I mean is that we apply with our name and we also apply for a "PASSWORD." Later, we are given a "USERNAME" and an "ACCOUNT ID #"
1) Why is the "username" actually a number. When asked for "username" perhaps there should be a notification that this is actually a "number" or at least a "number" until it is changed to a name IF this can infact be done.
2) Why do you refer to a section of the "document coversheet" as a "FXCM MICRO ACCOUNT NUMBER" instead of CLEARLY identifying it as the "ACCOUNT ID NUMBER" The "#" sign could even confuse some people I would assume depending on where they are from. Do you understand that EVERYTHING should be CRYSTAL CLEAR with absolutely NO variations to avoid ANY confusion. I have been through this a few times with other similar applications - not necessarily forex applications. There is a "username" which the company later refers to as a "user id" or "customer id" or "account name" Clarity is very important and should not be overlooked. It is very simple to use the EXACT same terminology or semantics when cross-referencing these terms from one section or document to another so why don't you do this?!?

Demo accounts are not in any way linked to live accounts. If you would like to continue having a demo account after you have a live account, the logins will be completely different. Also, demo accounts expire after 30 days.

You can register for a new demo account at the link below:
http://www.forexmicrolot.com/open-free-micro.jsp

You will need to select the Connection "Demo" whenever you want to sign in to your demo account.

You can access your account while it is still being processed, but you will not be able to trade on the account until your account processing is complete.

Regarding account number/username, I will certainly pass along your concerns regarding the perceived confusion.

We appreciate your feedback.

-Brad

yeah you do have to be carefull as the passwords and login are key sensitive.. also, you will need to make sure at the connection section to chose real instead of demo.. you also have to make sure that you are not logged into mymicrolot.com and the trading station at the same time.. also if the first time login in gives you an error message, try to do it a second time right away.. that worked for me ... i hope this helps!

Logging In

I had this problem when I initially started using my micro account. What I would recommend is making sure you are not cutting and pasting your login information. Furthermore, make sure you are using your UserID and not your Account number. Lastly, if you forgot your password, you can go to www.forexmicrolot.com and click on FORGOT PASSWORD link in order to regenerate a password. If this should still not work, you can check if you have vista (instead of windows XP) and set your platform as administrator in that case.

Logging Trade Inquiries

If you ever need to log any trading inquiries you can always do it at Micro Support by clicking on Trading Inquiry.

Everyone,

Please make sure that when you login to mymicrolot.com or the trading station that:
1- you are logged out of the other (if you're trying to log into the trading station, make sure you are logged out of mymicrolot.com)
2- you pick "REAL" on the trading station before you type in the password and your username (for first time users)
3- your cap lock is off as the passwords are key sensitive
4- if you were just on either mymicrolot.com or the trading station and logged off of either one, make sure you give it a few seconds before you try to log into the other.
5- Please make sure that if you are copy and pasting, to make sure that you do not have any spaces before or after the username (log in ID) and the password.

Dear admin

I can't log in to the fxcmmicro platform although I've tried it many times and many last days... Some warning windows appear to ask me to update something... and after that it stops and have a warning that some files can't be downloaded and so I can't log in...

Also, I can't log in "My Profile" at http://www.mymicrolot.com/ after closing the FX Trade station all.

So could you help me and let me know how to log in the platform to trade and how to log in "My Profile" on the website in details.

Thank you very much for your help and assistance.

Best regards

It happens sometimes with upgrades. You need to completely un-install the FXCM platform (including Marketscope) first.

Then install a fresh new copy from this website :
http://www.fxcm.com/software-download.jsp

Next download Marketscope charting software here:
http://www.fxcorporate.com/FXCM/FXChartInstall.EXE

That will solve the problem.

About http://www.mymicrolot.com, try to login from another computer, because as long as the platform is not removed from your computer and re-installed, the system thinks that it is still running and will prevent you from login into http://www.mymicrolot.com
