Invalid Account - Live MT4 Trading Account
If you receive the error message, “Invalid Account” when logging into a live FXCM Metatrader 4 Account, then the username or password entered into the login window is incorrect.
Did you forget your login?
If you have forgotten your login, the FXCM Metatrader 4 and MyFXCM.com login can be retrieved through https://www.myfxcm.com/fxma/ by following the simple steps below:
Step 1. Visit https://www.myfxcm.com/fxma/ and click on the Forgot Login/Password? link located below the Login button.
 Step 2. Click on Forgot Login ID?
 Step 3. The "Login ID Reminder" page will appear. Please enter the correct telephone number, email address, last name, and date of birth that we have on file for you. For your telephone number do not enter any spaces or non-numeric characters. Once you are finished entering your information click on "Get Login ID".
 Step 4. Once you have submitted your information correctly, you will see a confirmation page and an email with "MyFXCM" in the subject line will be sent to the email address on file with the Login ID.
 Congratulations! Now that you have the correct login, you will be able to log into MyFXCM.com or the FXCM Metatrader 4 to continue trading.

If you have forgotten your password, the FXCM Metatrader 4 and MyFXCM.com password can be reset through https://www.myfxcm.com/fxma/ by following the simple steps below:
Step 1. Visit https://www.myfxcm.com/fxma/ and click on the Forgot Login/Password? link located below the Login button.
 Step 2. Click on Forgot Password?
 Step 3. Enter the login and then click "Continue" to proceed. The login is normally the same number as the account number.
 Step 4. A prompt to enter either the security question for the account or the account number will appear. Either type the answer to your security question (CASE SENSITIVE) or enter the account number and then click on the Get Password button to continue.
 Keep in mind that the answer to the security question is CASE Sensitive. For example, if your mother’s maiden name is “Smith”, then there are three likely answers:
Step 5. Once you complete either field correctly, an email will be sent to the email address on file with a secure link page where you can create a new password. Passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters in length using both letters and numbers (at least one of each). All letters must be lowercase. For security purposes, the link will only be valid for 48 hours. If you do not reset your password within 48 hours, then you will have to start over by using Step 1.
 Congratulations! Now that you have created a new password, you will be able to log into MyFXCM.com or the FXCM Metatrader 4 to continue trading.
Additional tips for logging in...- Do not COPY or PASTE the username or password into the login box. If you did, please re-enter them manually.
- Make sure the correct user name and password is in each box.
- Make sure there are no spaces before or after the user-name and password. To do this, click into each box and hit both the BACKSPACE and DELETE buttons several times. Re-enter the user-name and password according to the above.
- Make sure you are using the correct server. Please use the correct server below that corresponds to what type of FXCM Metatrader 4 account you are trying to log in to:
 If you are unable to reset your password online or login following the steps above, then Click Here to Chat and we can reset your password. A new temporary password will be sent by email to the email address on file. You can update your temporary password to a unique password after you login.

Help! I can't login and I need to manage a trade!
If you cannot log into your platform online, then we encourage you to call the trading desk. You can manage trades by phone without any additional fees. Before contacting the trading desk, please have your account number and the details of the order you would like to manage (buy/sell, order size and symbol).
When calling the trading desk, MT4 inquiries are limited to placing stops/limits to close positions only. The trading desk is unable to take market orders or orders to open new positions.

No Connection - Live MT4 Trading Account
If you receive a, “No Connection” error message on a live MT4 Trading Account, then the computer you are using cannot connect to the MT4 platform.

The most common reason for this message is attempting to login during the weekend when we are completing weekly system maintenance. When the trading desk is closed, we do weekly system maintenance. During weekly system maintenance (Friday afternoon to Sunday), you may not be able to log into the trading platform.
1. Is the Trading Desk Closed?
The Trading Desk is closed from:
• Friday 4:00 PM to Sunday 5:15 PM New York time (EST)
• Friday 9:00 PM GMT to Sunday 10:15 PM GMT.
• Saturday 6:00 AM to Monday 7:15 AM Sydney time (AET)

When does weekly scheduled maintenance happen?
Maintenance starts after 4:00 PM Friday EST, usually by 5:00 PM, and can continue through the weekend. On many weekends the maintenance ends by Saturday afternoon.
If you attempt to login during the maintenance, you will receive a standard error messsage. The message you receive is not specific to your account, computer, or internet connection. You will be able to log on after maintenance ends, and start trading after the 5:15 PM EST trading open on Sunday.

2. Is the Trading Desk Open?
If the trading desk is open, then the computer you are using cannot connect to the MT4 platform. Here are some potential solutions:
Solution 1. If you are using Windows Vista, right click on the MT4 icon on your Desktop and select, “Run as an Administrator” from the drop-down menu. If you are not using Windows Vista, skip this step.
Solution 2. Configure your Firewall. Your firewall may be blocking the MT4 platform from connecting to the internet. To connect, please open your personal firewall settings and allow the FXCM MT4 platform Internet Access.
Solution 3. If you are using a wireless connection, please switch the connection to a physical connection and login. The MT4 platform updates constantly with the latest prices and normal web browsing does not require this much dedicated resources. Still having connection issues?

Where do I find my login information?
When originally signing up for your account your login details were sent to the e-mail address included in the application. The login name on your account will not change over time, so this e-mail will still have the correct information.

 I can’t locate my login e-mail, how can I retrieve my login?
Retrieving your login information is a quick and easy process when using the online account portal located at MyFXCM.com!
Step 1: Navigate to MyFXCM.com and click on “Forgot Login/Password” on the main page
 Step 2: Click on “Forgot Login ID?”
 Step 3: Fill in the corresponding information for your account and select “Get Login ID”

Note: Telephone, E-mail and Primary / Joint Account Holder information is case sensitive Step 4: A confirmation screen will appear informing you that the login details have been sent to your e-mail address
 Step 5: Login to e-mail account and select the e-mail sent from MyFXCM


NOTE: Some E-mail filters will move auto-generated mail to a Spam or Junk folder. If you do not see the e-mail in your inbox, add FXCM to your e-mail contacts and check these folders! My e-mail address has changed, is there another way to get my login?

After the Trading Desk closes on Friday, the FXCM Technical Support Department performs scheduled weekly IT maintenance for a short time.
Maintenance starts after 4:00 PM Friday EST, usually by 5:00 PM, and can continue through the weekend. On many weekends the maintenance ends by Saturday afternoon.
FXCM platforms and myfxcm.com may be unavailable until the maintenance is complete. If you attempt to log on during the maintenance and receive an error message, don't worry! The message you receive is not specific to your account, machine, or internet connection. You will be able to log on after maintenance ends, and start trading after the 5:15 PM EST trading open on Sunday.
You will be able to login before the Trading Desk opens for trading.

Are you using a wireless connection?
If you are using a wireless connection, please switch the connection to a physical connection and login. Sometimes a wireless connection will not be strong enough to support a real-time price feed and the weak connection will result in connection issues.

I know demo accounts expire. Did my demo account expire?
If you do not leave the demo account dormant for more than 30 days, then the demo account will never expire. If you have left your demo account dormant for more than 30 days or if you have misplaced your demo account details, please register for a new demo account at one of the links below:
