  1. Tom, were your long trend view on AUD/USD today based on 200mva or 100 mva? on my chart 200 mva is around 0.93 and 100 mva around 0.98 respectively? I thought you're using 200 mva. I think mva is the same as sma (I'm using TSII)
  2. I'm starting to take your advice and use lower leverage and trade longer-time frames to give my trades time to work and have a wide margin for error w/o risking signifigant % (5%) of account balance. Short-term market sentiment (minutes to 1wk. is difficult to anticipate) I still do some small scalps but my attitude is definitely moving more long term. Trading currency is much more grinding than I anticipated. (I.E. Profits seem to come very slowly and gradually but losses can come quickly and out-of-nowhere!)

    Hi Thomas,

I didn't want to argue with you on the public forum as I understand the need for you to appear knowledgeable and correct is important to your business, however what Matt talked about is definitely not the traditional Head & Shoulders Pattern that most people would be familiar with. I've had a good look around and I can't find any literature supporting your case either. Bringing up a chart doesn't really prove anything, it's possible to find charts of any pattern or failures thereof. I'm just surprised that you would teach things differently to the general consensus, as your students may have different understandings of certain concepts to everyone else when they finish. I'm also pretty sure there would be some variance between the probability rate of success of the two different versions. I realize there is probably no point arguing semantics and I don't mean to be annoying but I really feel that calling that pattern a H&S is incorrect.

    Regards,

    Jared
