4th part: So 3159 was a reasonable top to catch, lots of hard work but EW folk are used to setting targets during their analysis, which typically identify turning points if the indies match up with the turn. What's seems so difficult to some, is actually easy to most EW folk. Bottom/top picking is hardly ever mentioned in the EW forum, instead it's a typically practice of calling a top/bottom. The most widely used method to determine a trend change is to wait for a newly developed impulsive 5 wave sequence(w1) in the opposite direction of the expiring trend, then jump in the trade when the retracement(w2, abc) completes. Please tell me you have Pretcher's book? Hey what charting package you use to obtain the individual currency indexes?

Lastly, the preceding complete wave fib levels can also provide top/bottom levels for corrections/impulsive trend changes. Real time example, 2586-2918 rally(wA) measurements was place at the end of wB, and 3054, 3102 and 3181. Well price smoke my brickwall@3054 and provided support when price didn't make it past 3102 the first time. Well it provided support again after 3102 was exceeded but failed to reach 2181. 3rd part. Why hasn't price made it to the last resistance b4 blowing the top, because the preceding completed wave(1.3333-3157) 76.4 held price at the same time we've identified a final 5th wave ED, which was also confirmed by 4hr stoch divergence, daily o/b levels and Colly's twins.

Hey Ash, the first part of the explanation is on the forum. I ripped the rest down. Here goes the 2nd part.

For example, w3 typically extends 1.618 or 2.618 of w1's length. Very rarely will w3 equal w1, if so then w5 may extend or truncated depending on whether w3 is longer/shorter in length than w1. Once you determined where w3 may finish then you calculate w5, which is normally equal to w1. For an example of wC, wC typically extends 1.0 of wA(equality)'s length, as well as 1.618. There are other levels that wC tends to extend too, such as 61.8,1.236, 1.382, 2.0,2.618. So after calculating these levels based on your count and fibs, I normally look to my indies for exhaustion on the 4hr and daily TFs to justify a possible turn. This takes alot of practice.

    Hi Asher
I was looking over your Ichimoku introduction and explanations. I've used it for a while but gave up. For the moment
I have few questions, if you're so kind.
First of all, what is the shortest timeframe on which Ichimoku works?
Second, i've seen for instance some of the big names using 25 periods macd divergence, i/o 26. So probably we could use the 25/50 on the Ichi?
You can use also my personal email add p_costin@hotmail.com
    Thanks in advance

    Good morning Asherewt,
Could you give me a good link to the new rules concerning Limit/stop orders ? I'm still not sure about the ruling!
Does the rule only pertain to 'multiple contracts on the same pair ?
I only trade one contract at a time now!
    thanks,
    John
