    fxsharing :: Index

    Hello, I am starting a forum for sharing and I meant real sharing. Members share their entries and exit trades, ideas and not some confusing talk but not telling other what they are trading. I am also new and you will always appreciate it when others who are more experience share their ideas. I have been to the other forum but it seems like it the same. Only after the exit then they tell you how much they had made etc. If it is for sharing then share right? So I thought I start one for all who care to share with people, be it non-experience or experienced. You are warmly welcome to join. Pass the words around if you like.

    Cheers!

    Hi Brad,

    Now that the GBP / CHF has broken the trend line, is now a good time to go short? You mentioned the other day that there was still some upside potential. I see the pair has now come back up to re-test the support line so am thinking of shorting...just not not sure where to place a stop...any guidance would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Luke

    Hi Brad,

    Just wanted to ask if you are using any software to help make trades? I'm new to forex, and am considering using Vantage Point trading software to help me. Would you recommend I start with using software or doing it all myself? Thanks!

    Hi Brad,

    Had a couple of further questions if you dont mind:

    1. A week ago or so when you highlighted the possible GBP/USD reversal you mentioned that the reversal signal formed however you were not happy with the way it broke over - are you able to explain what you mean by the pair not breaking the way you liked. The reversal signal occured but you were still wary...just curious why?

    2. In your previous message to me you mentioned you use Fib levels for target prices when there is a retrace. What makes you favour one Fib level over another when setting a target? (I.e I notice for some trades you might be looking for a retracement to the 61.8% level whereas another trade you might only target 31.2%).

    Thanks again for your time.

    Cheers

    Gday Brad and a Happy New Year to you. Followed your recommendation on the GBP / USD reversal. Entered long today @ 14450 and set a stop just below the lowest point last month @ 14350. Had my heart in my mouth when the price went back to re-test the lows but thankfully it held...and has now moved upwards.

    One quick question, how do you calculate target prices? Are you using a specific tool or combination of Fib / Candle patterns?

    Thanks again for your assistance and all the best for a profitable 2009!

    Cheers

    Luke
