Floricultores de California en EE. UU. contra rosas colombianas
Los productores de flores de California quieren que el Congreso les dé un regalo de San Valentín de 15 millones de dólares para contrarrestar el predominio de las importaciones de rosas colombianas.
Colombia es la principal fuente de las flores cortadas que se venden todos los años en los EE.UU. y provee la mayor parte de las rosas importadas para el Día de San Valentín. California vende alrededor del 20 por ciento de las flores en los EE. UU., mientras que hace una generación proveía casi los dos tercios.
