    BREAKOUT STRATEGY TREND FILTER

    Hello,

I was just wondering if there is anyone out there that could add a parameter to this algorithm so that it would allow the option of choosing to let only long or only short positions be opened by the algo. I tried to do it a couple times myself, but I'm not that experienced with LUA language so I can't get it to work properly This is a very good strategy and it would just need this trend filter to make it extremely profitable in strong trending markets. Attached is the file.

    Hi,

I've added the Allowed side parameter to the strategy parameters.
