Hi I am having a few issues with the stratgy trader, I want to backtest some of the estrategies but i keep having the following error message, not enough series length, bars reference value 250, so where in the platform can i change this predefined value?
also, when i try to do the same on a demo account, it doesnt show up the error, but the back test is empty.
also i found in this link http://forexforums.dailyfx.com/autom...tml#post639927 (Strategy Trader FAQ)
some instruction to upload some donwloadable stEA's but this links keep taking me into the forum, does anyone knows where to download?

Hi manzanofab,
This error means there isn't enough bars for the strategy to do the backtest. Number of bars required is set in the Strategy Properties. Please right-click on the chart -> Format Strategy Advisor -> click the Properties button, under Properties tab, there is a box where you can enter the maximum number of bars study will reference. It is by default 250, you can reduce the number to a level that you can have enough bars on the chart, while it reserves enough bars for the strategy to backtest.
Please try to extend the study period for the backtest in demo account that you mentioned above.
As for the wiki site, it has been taken down for now. For example strategies, please visit Strategy Coding Requests
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Jimmy
