Thread: Can FXCM MT4 be used with FXCM Micro account?

Hi there,

Since January I have had FXCM Demo account using trading station platform and recently opened Micro account. I'd like to start using MT4 now with Micro account. Is it possible to use MT4 for the Micro account? Would you tell me how to login via MT4?

Can I trade on the MT4 platform with an FXCM Micro account?

In order to be able to use the MT4 platform you would need to open a standard account. Standard accounts also have the functionality of trading micro lots (increments of 1K) available and offer many advantages over micro accounts.

I want to ask if i need to maintain that 2000 balance? for example, if my loss causes my balance fall below 2000, do i have to add more money ?

If I open a standard account with $2000, do I have to keep my account above $2000?

The initial starting balance for opening a standard account is $2000. Once you open the account you do not have to maintain that balance. If your account falls below $2000 your account will remain open and you will still be able to trade as long as you have sufficient margin to do so.
