Unhappy Sound Alerts still not working

After reinstalling the trading platform Marketscope 2.0 and trying to clear the registry, I still can get any sound alerts to work on my pc. Everything else seems to work. I have Windows 7 64 bit OS. The sound alerts did work when this was a practice account.

    4xphilbur,

Did you go to manage price alert and scroll all the way down to play sound under notification, it should have a Yes to play sound and a Yes to show alert. Let me know if this helped!

The roll back works if , after reinstalling TSII above (and before logging in), the Regedit Version fix is applied as "01.09.082610".
Thus we dupe the server and "Update" prompt won't appear. The old version workd with me, but somehow it's crooked a bit.
For unknown reason I can not place a limit order now. A limit order is autamatically displayed as OCO and the attempt to "Remove from OCO order "causes error "Function is not possible"

I will send this error message to our production team and see if they can see anything regarding this. I will let you know as soon as possible.

    Hi frant,

Where did you go to place the Limit? You should be clicking on the limit button in the open positions window. In the open positions window, there is a limit button for each ticket. Is that where you went to place the limit order?

On the Marketscope 2.0 or the Trading Station? Anyhow, I recall that my trading station would have sound indicators whenever I simply opened or closed a trade or got stopped out. I'm not hearing those little sounds either.

Arrow Here are some screen captures

I hope these screen captures shed light on my issue. I have the sounds they just don't play. Also, I noticed these details under components. See attachments.

    Hi 4xphilbur,

I would recommend uninstalling, clearing your registry, and reinstalling the platform. This will fix most issues of this nature.

    Hi thunderbird803,

You should be able to install and use both platforms. You might be having trouble with the Trading Station II, please reinstall the trading platform following these directions. After reinstalling the platform successfully, please install the Strategy Trader Platform and try to login again.

Please let me know how this works for you.

    Asaf.

As seen on screenshot I attached before, clicking "Limit" button opens not
a Limit order entry window, but causes a separate "OCO" line to appear.
Attempts to cancel OCO are followed by error message (attached).

Ideally your production team should resolve the problem of blocked ports
in new version 01.09.082610 ( which was the reason why I and , maybe some other corporate network users , had to roll back the version)

    Hi Frant,

We won't be able to resolve the problem of blocked ports from our end. At some point your company's firewall must have granted access to the previous version of the trading station. We do updates periodically. If your company's IT department will not grant internet access for the updated versions, then a long term solution at least for when you trade at work might be to use the Java version of our platform. Click here to access it. Let me know if you still have trouble logging into that from work.

    Best,
    Ed.

    Installing FXTS2Install and MICROLOTFXTS2Install

    Hi

I'm a new trader, so I want to go one step at a time. I opened a real regular minilot account, and a micro account, so I can practice a while with microlots and later on with minilots. But I can't manage to install Trading Station II and then Micro Trading Station II, neither can I login to mi micro account from my already installed Minilot TS.

Do someone has a workaround for using TS and Micro TS on the same PC?

Thanks in advance, and good luck trading

Thank you for your post iskander!

You can actually use the same platform to login to either of your FXCM accounts. There are differences between the micro and standard platforms, however either micro or standard accounts can login to either platform. The main difference is the micro Trading Station II does not have the ‘chat’ button, as micro accounts are not provided live support.

Please click here to download the micro trading station.

Please click here to download the standard trading station.

Again, you can use the platform to login to either micro or standard accounts, just keep in mind that micro accounts do not have access to the live support feature.

How can I get live support?

We would be happy to help you with upgrading the account to standard, all you would need to do is contact us at your convenience and we can assist. If you have specific questions, feel free to email me directly: brad@dailyfx.com
