I don't discount them by any means...but they have to be extremely obvious and confluent for me to trade them. I will generally only trade a counter-trend pin bar on the daily chart.
For example, the one you pointed out in gold was on the 4hr chart and it was very small.
I Like to see a counter pin bar form at a major support or resistance level, be larger than the surrounding price action, and have a close in my favor...meaning the close lower than the open if your shorting for example. I also like them on higher time frames rather than lower time frames.
Hi thegreengoblin
Sounds like you have spent some time with Nial Fuller. I too trade with price action!
Hi shafi! I cant found details about Candlestick Trading there! Could you send some useful link to learn about Candlestick and how it works in forex trade?
Here is AUDUSD daily chart, as you see the pin bar at resistance, followed by 2 inside bars, price quickly dropped to support area and is currently breaking it.
Had you shorted at the break of pin, you could of closed out half you position at support area.
If you looking to get in, let price retest old support now new resistance, wait for PA for a short entry..

Hello tuyler, is this the Euro? What time frame is that? I see a long wicked candle 26 bars to the left of the low, why wouldn't you have taken that as a buy signal?
