USD/CAD Daily

The July 1st Low of 1.0787 is the Price that this USD/CAD Pair is attempting to Close above before this Month of October ends. The Bulls may be positioned to hold their Ground and to possibly push Higher into the 1st Week of September as long as this Market remains above this Month's Open of 1.0697 ... which also happens to be slightly above current Equilibrium on the Weekly. Do the Bulls have it in them for another push to the upside?

May be he is out for the day, he is passionate about helping traders, so do not take it personal.

Hope this trade works out tomorrow as it is not usual to see that three tops on monthly charts...it is rare...just like the triple top with USD/CAD back in APRIL.

Good luck

Straty, it would be nice if you'd quit calling people "yanks"....me or anyone else, because whether you mean it or not...it comes off in a derogatory way.

Next, I'm monitoring a ton of forums, not just this one.

Yes, Adam is right...I really do like helping people.

I think the uptrend in AUD/CAD will continue because the Aussie central bank is looking to jack up rates and the Canadian central bank is looking to keep the loonie down.

Between the two, I think that AUD/CAD will continue to be on the rise.

Yep, Adam...you see my heart. I do truly like to help out traders. Glad you see that.

USD/CAD is always "touchy" at its trend changes. That's why I'll monitor it more on the 4 hour chart than the daily chart, even though it appears the daily downtrend has been broken.

But we're right at the uptrend line on the 4 hour. I'd prefer to see this trend line hold OR if it breaks down and starts a 4 hour downtrend....then buy the next break of a downtrend.

Smile Apologies to Sean Hyman

First time I ever heard of a person living in the USA being offended at being called a 'yank'. I travelled the USA some years ago, 23 states, from LA to New York and nobody ever took offense at being called a 'yank' It's a bit like me being offended for being called an 'aussie' or a person living in the u.k being called a 'pom'.

No offense was intended, my posts are always made with a happy go lucky/positive intent.

We are traders, and people, with that comes a personality. Markets move on human emotion and personality too. It's who we are.

That said, if offense was the effect of the statement then please accept my humble apologies.

Just a "heads up". I'll be out on vacation from Nov. 2nd to 9th. So I hope you guys will step up to the plate during this time and keep this awesome thing going.

I will have several instructors popping in and out throughout each day and they will be making a few posts here and there. However, their primary job is still to "man the courses".

One other note....for those new to the forums...if you'd like to see how to register and post to the forum...check this shor video out: DailyFX Forum Registration Video: YouTube - DailyFX Forum Registration Video

I'll be back on the forums on Nov. 10th.

Nobody likes to trade the CAD?

What an odd forum this one is. Is there anybody out there besides me who trades the CAD, a noticeable lack of interest here.

Even i dont! i can see that the US Dollar fell against most currencies on Thursday after data showed that the US economy grew in the third quarter, the first growth in over a year, reducing the greenback's safe-haven allure and sending investors elsewhere for better returns. The firm gross domestic product numbers renewed investor optimism about a recovery in the global economy, bringing traders to buy higher-yielding currencies. The US GDP for the third quarter showed a growth of 3.5% against an estimate of 3.3%.

USD/CAD Daily

Should this USD/CAD Pair manage to get below 1.0630 today (Fri Oct 30th) ... then the next target Low will be the 1.0586 Price area. On the upside ... if it breaks through Today's Pivot of 1.0716 then a draw towards 1.0756 may play-out. Presently ... it's looking as if it may just form a doji this Month by Closing near the the 1.0697 Price area.

My main objective was to trade everything at 2008 high of 1.30, but it doesn't seem were gonna be near this anytime soon.

anyways, glad to have you posting here with us. Welcome!

Ultimately, you'll have to see what you think is best with your money.

With that said...it appears that the USD/CAD downtrend has been broken. If so, in the coming weeks to months...the USD would gain in value vs. the CAD. If that's the case, then you'd want to delay your conversion since the dollars are strengthening and buying you more CAD as the exchange rate goes up before you make the switch.
