    Where can I find resources to help me use the Technical Analyzer from DailyFX+?

    We have several resources to help you with this tahquo! First I would suggest reading the section on Technical Analyzer from the forum's DailyFX+ FAQ. You can find that section by clicking here. My colleague Rob at FXCM also goes over the indicators on the Technical Analyzer in this post.

    One of our course instructors Walker England recently conducted a live webinar titled "Trading Using DailyFX Plus with Walker E" on 08/15/2011. In his webinar Walker goes over how you can effectively use the Technical Analyzer along with some of the other resources available to you exclusively at DailyFX+.     why are major currency pairs like USD/SEK and USD/NOK locked on my micro account?

    these pairs seem to be lower risk with $20 requirements, not sure why them like many other pairs are locked - using JAVA trading station as I have a MAC

    Why are some of the currency pairs blocked while using JAVA Trading Station?

    JAVA Trading Station is an out of date platform that we no longer service. It is possible that the pairs you are describing are not configured for the use of JAVA Trading Station. I would recommend upgrading to Trading Station Gateway to use on your Mac computer.

    Can I use the TSG platform with my Micro account?

    The TSG account type is only available to FXCM Standard accounts. You would need to upgrade your Micro account to Standard level by bringing the balance up to at least $2,000 in order to use TSG. Trading Station Gateway is a different type of Standard account that will allow you to continue trading microlot trade sizes.

    account name problem

    im just curious about my middle name.. during opening account process i have put my middle name but why when i logged in to my account it doesnt stated my middle name except the first letter of my middle name only..so i wonder if this is consider a valid account or not..afraid of when the time comes i cannot do withdrawl..

    please assist me on this

    Hi, While having a position in place .. I can add another position (in the same direction; for example 2 short positions) .. That's easy

    Now, Closing a position is made with the first executed being the first to be closed...

    Is there a way where I can open -and close- other position for the same currency pair -in the same direction- without affecting my first position?

    I was wondering if my account was valid or not, and if there will be any issues with withdrawals because of my name?

    I have checked with the operations team, and they have notified me that the system cuts the name down to the middle initial however we do have your full name on file. There will be no issues with your withdrawals as long as you are making the withdrawal to an account that is in your name, so you have nothing to worry about ben enriquez.

    Thank you for your post! You have asked an excellent question!

    You are using a US account-type for the Trading Station II. All US accounts must follow FIFO regulations that forces the oldest positions to be closed out before newer trades in the same currency pair. If you are a US resident, you will have to follow these FIFO regulations, but if you reside outside the United States, FXCM can open an account where you can close your positions out in any order you would like.

    Lightbulb Closed Positions

    Hi,

    I would like to know if there is a way to change the time my closed positions disappear from my closed positions tab on my market scope platform.

    Reason been, of time difference.
    If i have a trade open and it closes while im asleep. i still want it there in my closed positions tab so i can record it.

    I know you can go to report, But whats the point of having the closed positions tabs if every 24hours it leaves the tab.

    I would like to change it to a month to month basic's.

    The trading history on the Trading Station II platform remains until the end of the trading day and then disappears. Can I change the time that this happens?

    The functionality Trading Station clears out the trading history at the end of the trading day which is at 5PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). At this time we do not offer the functionality of changing this. The reasoning behind clearing the trading history this is to make sure that the "Closed Positions" section does not take up too much memory or RAM on your computer, which can slow down your Trading Station II platform and your execution. That's definitely not something you want especially if you are trading on a live account. As you mentioned that you already know, if you need to go back to see positions you have closed in the past you can do so by running a report directly from the Trading Station II platform. All you need to do is click on "Report" on the top right hand corner of the Trading Station II.


    Once you have set up your parameters accordingly you can click on "Run Report".



    Although we do not offer what you are requesting at this time, we appreciate all feedback from our clients, and you can most certainly submit any requests at anytime to us. What I'll go ahead and do is forward your suggestion to the appropriate department to see if we can add the functionality you are requesting in our next update of the Trading Station II platform. As an alternative, we also have an indicator that will show your trading history directly on the charts. Please click here (Trading History Size) for more information.
